Things to do in
It is what they call Imbiss. Sort of fast food joint specializing in all sort of sausages and add-ons like fries, salad but have also every lunch a special lunch menu. Also have a seating area which is not typical for an Imbiss.

We stopped in Elsfleth to visit friends and we stayed at this charming hotel. The room was spacious and clean and the staff was VERY friendly. The restaurant inside is very elegant and the tables and chairs outside are a beautiful place to have a coffee in the morning or wine in the evening. We enjoyed walking around the town and the countryside. I would love to visit again and see their Maritime museum. We took a daytrip to Bremen - an easy 30 minute or so train ride - and Bremen is an amazing place. I would visit here again!

Our 87 years old uncle Carl W., born 1929 in NY City, but grown up in Bremen, has visited hundreds of restaurants during his working career as a travelling salesman. He was a salesman for high end chemical products to chemical companies all over Germany, Austria and Switzerland. after his negotiations with his customers he invited them for a good lunch in a fine restaurant. Therefor he knows almost all fine restaurants and noble hotels all over Germany. If you want to know which restaurants are the top 3 in Regensburg, or Hamburg, or Cologne, or... just ask uncle Carl, he knows which are the best restuarnts there."Strandlust" in Bremen/ Vegesack is one of his favorite restaurants, it reminds him on his youth (1929 - 1949) when he swam in the river "Weser" (therefor the name "Strand" which means "beach").There had been a much smaller restaurant at that time in the 1930-40ies, but still the same location. The location of this restaurant is phantastic. You have a view over the river Weser and you can watch the ferry to carry cars and people from one side to the othr side of the river Weser. Our family and especially our old uncle Carl visit this restaurant at least once a month on Sundays.

I wanted to have a relaxed lunch here this Sunday. Unfortunately they had a private event and were closed for the public. No information on their website. So not good for spontaneous visits on a Sunday. Better don't go to visit without calling.

Great food (cusine) in Vegesack. They up the standard of this northen-Bremen part town. Small restaurant with outdoor seating and nice ambiance. Price is the highest ever around, but worth every penny. We were with a group of five (take your time, because it ain't a quick bite though). Orderd various dishes of the menu which all in all were very good of taste. Can't complain, only that the service was not the fastest. They had one girl serving and the cook, that was it. But it is hard to complain because that is just how it is. The food is great, great, quality. Not your average daily eat in, but we will return here, that is for sure!
