Berghaus Horneggli is located at 1,770 metres of altitude, right on the piste of Schönriedâs local mountain and can look back on over 180 years of history. From Schönried, the chairlift takes you to the dizzy heights of the Horneggli-Bahn top station in j

There is nothing not to like about this place. Breathtaking views, excellent local food and actually quite reasonable prices compared to some of the comparable restaurants in Gstaad. Leave room for the meringue with fresh cream for desert and also don't forget that like most places on the mountains, it is cash only.

There is some confusion with the two hotels. One hotel is in Saanenmoeser and one is on top of the Hornberg called Berghotel. The first one is a brilliant hotel cum restaurant with lovely food and great service.Views are to die for.The second is an average hotel with average food and not worth the visit unless you are hiking in the region.

Best Pizzeria in town! Family-friendly Restaurant with sunny terrace. Italian and Swiss food. Open all year. Free parking in front of Hotel.
We decided to stay in the hotel to eat dinner and it was actually quite nice. The restaurant was very full, so they must be doing something right (allaying our concerns that only 2 reviews existed on Trip Advisor). It was a lively place, several groups of 6-7 people, several tables of 2-4 persons, and a few children here and there. It is very cute, nice, and comfortable. My husband and I had pasta dishes that we both great. Son had a pizza with shrimp. We had nice wine and cocktails and very good dessert. The "small" salad was quite large, very fresh and great dressing. Yummy. Nice bread.Considering how expensive everything is in Gstaad, this was a very reasonable meal and it was quite good. I would definitely recommend - unless you want to "live large" and money is no object. I am sure there are other restaurants in town that cater to the more exclusive set.

Cost restaurant with food at typically Swiss prices. 'Reassuringly expensive' I think they'd like to say. We went in the evening. We had the cheese fondue which was excellent; but the Alpine Tapas was CHF 24 for a smattering of tiny dishes. And I mean minute. The crême brûlée was no brûlée at all: it had a whipped cream top. It had clearly never seen a flame. Friendly, efficient service. Our companion said the lunches were excellent.

Our staff prepares a wide variety of delicacies in our hotel kitchen using regional and seasonal products whenever possible. We purchase meats from local farmers or from our butcher shop partners. The majority of our dishes are made in house and free from

Visited this (hotel) restaurant twice. Food is good, service a bit slow but correct. Sadly the Manager is truly rude and lacks common politeness. Abnoxious, barks back at questions and treats guests condescendingly. We thought it was a one time accident but twice ... We will never go back again!

What a find in Saanen! Hidden away, this gorgeous restaurant is worth seeking out. Book early as I think itâs a well-guarded secret of the locals! For good reason! On a lovely, warm Summer evening we sat outside on the veranda, surrounded by beautiful flowers and candles. The menu was unique, presented in a bound book, each day showing a new menu sourcing the freshest ingredients. Each meal we had was beautifully presented and faultless. Our table chose a range of salads and the mussels for entree and for the mains the trout was delicious and the beef cheeks divine. The wine list was extensive and we enjoyed some beautiful Swiss wines. Totally recommend this place! It was the best meal of our week in Saanen/Gstaad. DEAR GUEST, What a wonderful comment you have posted! We are truly blessed and would like to express our sincere thaks. It is always great if our guests can feel the vibe, the passion and that everything we do and deliver is made with love. The garden is just stunning at the moment you are travelling at the most wonderful season of the year with all the roses and blossoms accompagnied by this lovely smell all over.We hope welcoming you back soon for another tasty meal with beautiful Swiss wines. All the best and see you soon!
