We had a very enjoyable and relaxed late lunch here after walking in the Seidlwinkeltal. I had delicious Kaspressknoedel, which come in soup in a small enamel pot and are served with a side salad. My partber tried the smoked trout, which was also very good. We also had to try their beer, which they brew themselves. Full marks on that as well. Unfortunately, we were too stuffed to try any of the desserts or yummy looking ice creams. We hope to be back in Rauris next year, and this restaurant will definitely see us again a couple of times.

We have been here on a number of occasions as it is ideally placed to start walks from in the summer, or do Langläufen (cross country skiing) in the winter. It always has a great atmosphere and settings, and has one of the best Kaiserschmarm in the valley.

Located just above the gondola station this alm has a large outside terrace with fantastic views across the mountains. On this visit we stopped for morning coffee before setting off for a walk. We have previously been here in winter when everything is a bit frantic as skiers take a break from the slopes. This time it was a peaceful and relaxing interlude in warm sunshine.
We ate here once. There was a long queue but the seating area was less busy than other place. Took card payments which was good. Canteen style place with pictures to show the food. Usual fare, soups, sausages and chips, spaghetti etc. Good views. Situated at top of chair lift and bottom on a gondola.
