The Anglerheim can be translated with anglersâ or fishermenâs home and probably it is the favourite place for the fishermen who have their boats there and last not least the so-called Stammtisch, a table which is reserved for the regulars who meet there for beer and spin their yarn. We selected from the menu the carrot-ginger soup, very tasty, fish from the Lake of Constance, Hecht (pike), Felchen (whitefish), Zander (pike-perch) and the Bodensee Kretzer. The knowledgeable lady lessee personally served the dishes, each with a mixed salad, prepared to perfection. All dishes were delicious, generous portions at affordable prices. Wine from the region and beer from the tap were refreshing. It is recommended to book in advance, perfect for 5-6 persons is the table to the left when entering the restaurant. The restaurant is located directly at the shore of the lake, from the main railway station, when facing the lake turn to the right and walk along the lake, passing the yacht club, it is about 1km from the station.

The Fino with its straight lines, dark pillars, light-coloured couches and wooden furniture has a modern look. Illuminated pictures on the walls provide a dash of colour. The waiters and waitresses are dressed in white, are good at what they do and speak
Had a very good meal, served with a fabulous local white wine. I had a salad with steak strips which was very good. My wife's prawns were equally good. The service was quick, efficient and friendly.
Creative art and relaxing space whether you want to sit at the small bar for group conversation or take one of the many different sized tables (I was on solo business at a deuce). Most welcoming waitstaff, very nice dessert case, extensive after-dinner selections, in addition to beer and wine. Saw a large group having charcuterie lunch out front when passing by the previous day and all platters looked very appealing. Also a nice outdoor back veranda with tables overlooking the park. Good for a light relaxing dinner with ârealâ contemporary music (rare in these parts vs overproduced pop) at just the right volume for conversation. I need to come back many more times!

Some reviews seem to confuse Rubins restaurant at Bora Spa with the Biergarten. Both are excellent, but they are very different. Rubins is the hotel restaurant which offers fine dining. It is indoor, with a few outdoor tables weather permitting. The view of the lake from here is quite minimal. The food was innovative with creative use of edible flowers in some dishes. Everything was beautifully presented. I even found I could enjoy tripe! Service was friendly and helpful. The wonderful view of the lake is from the biergarten which shares a kitchen with the spa, and offers traditional fare â flammkuchen, schnitzel etc. â good stuff, but not fine dining. We ate here almost every day attracted by the view, friendly staff and atmosphere.

The "Kranz" in the small village of Liggeringen (belonging to Radolfzell) is an excellent place to taste "Dünnele". This is a regional speciality in the southwestern corner of germany and neighbouring areas. It's the alemannic answer to pizza and comes with all kinds of variations in the toppings. The "Kranz" offers some of the best ones. Ideally you order the combo of 7 different "Dünne" and enjoy them in a group. This takes it's time (3hrs recommended) but it's worth it. Also they have some other traditional dishes that you don't find at many places and - very personal opinion - they have the best apple juice around there. It is especially nice in summer when you can sit outside, but also the interior of the place is quite rustic and pleasant. By the way: the city bus from Radolfzell, line 6, starting at the railway station, brings you almost directly to the place. There is minimum an hourly connection during daytime and evening. The final destination (where it turns and runs back to Radolfzell) is 5 minutes from the "Kranz". It takes ca. 20 minutes to the railway station in Radolfzell.

Alberto, moved from Zur Alten Mosterei zu Florianâs which closed for good and renamed it Zwirners Restaurant in honour of his family. The new location is more spacious especially the kitchen. During the past 3 weeks we had dined there several times and were never disappointed. In fact I can could copy and paste the review I had written when Alberto was at his former location. I appreciate the short menu which lists about 8-10 appetizers and the same number of main dishes. Alberto is a passionate chef, very creative, preparing excellent dishes which are not the usual fare except for the very affordable lunch time specials. It is virtually magic how he is able to concoct such delicious food. The service, mostly by his wife, is friendly and efficient, the ambiance cozy.
