Gostilna Ribič (Ribich) is a restaurant with 25 years of culinary excelence in the city of Ptuj. Located directly on the bank of the river Drava, the restaurant offers a romantic ambient that adds a relaxing touch to the culinary experience. Although the
Unfortunately, i can't rate the restaurant with 5 stars. The food was very good, but the waitress who served us was very arrogant. She also did not know how to answer food questions (my son is allergic to certain foods) and also did not know how to help with wine choosing. The waiter who brought us food on the table was very friendly, he repaired the impression of the restaurant and it was a pity we didn't have him as our waiter. So, if you happen to visit this restaurant, I suggest you ask for a waiter who wears glasses, because he knows a lot of food an wine.

We had lunch with our 16 member travel group. “Beef” soup with homemade noodles looked more like chicken broth and had no visible meat and could have been hotter, but it was flavorful. Simple salad nicely dressed. Roast turkey came with homemade wide, flat pasta noodles were very tasty and not too fatty (much better than the same had in a recommended restaurant in Zagreb). Apple strudel for dessert was warm and slightly crisp. Some of the best we’ve had on the trip. As we were leaving, I saw a serving bowl of what looked like very tempting beef stew or meatballs. Location is interesting, up a steep hill/driveway which we walked since it could not accommodate a large bus, although probably private cars can manage. It was a bit chilly, but in warmer weather, it appears there is inviting seating outside. Worth consideration.

Nice traditional restaurant in wooden house, nice quiet garden, large parking space, cossy atmosphere at subburb of Varazdin. Fine service and excellent traditional food. We were four (two vegeterians) and everybody was very happy with meals. Finally prices are very convenient. Will visit this place again.... :-)

It is furnished in rustical style of a wine cellar, decorated with original viticulture stuff and decorations from viticulture heritage, which is very rich around Virštanj. Our desire is to offer our guests a wide range of culinary delights and wine of ou
I stayed for 2 nights and my dinners an lunch were top notch. The soups in particular were delicious - one mushroom and another wild garlic. Some of the best food I have had into 3 weeks of a road trip and having travelled through France and Italy!

Rozmarin restaurant opened its doors in 2006 in the capital of Styria – the city of Maribor, introducing a different, more cosmopolitan view of modern cuisine. Its name Rozmarin (rosemary) emphasizes Mediterranean, that is Italian, French, Spanish and, la
I did a quick stop for a burger. Service was quick and excellent, burger was not more than ok. I think other food is much better. Hello, Miha! Many thanks for your feedback! we`re sorry the burger didn`t convince you.The next time you are in Maribor, we would love to invite you over to Rožmarin restaurant also. It is literally in the same building as Steakhouse, only 20 meters away, downstairs. We believe you would like our Mediterranean cuisine. In any case, hope to see you in Rožmarin and Steakhouse again!Best regards,Restavracija Rožmarin team

The story of Palatin restaurant is set in the very heart of Varaždin city. The restaurant lies at the crossroads of Braća Radić and Stanko Vraz street. The word "Palatin" was first mentioned in Roman history, and is continued to be used in the present. Sp
Three hours before arrival we call them in order to reserve table. We picked up three course dish from promotive menu “Okusi” (Tastes). After 45 minutes we get soup, 1 hour after soup we received main dish. Main dish was almost cold. Taste was ok, but nothing special. And for desert half hour later we received raw paste (on picture). We argue with waitress but anything she has been saying was sorry. After raw desert we paid bill and left. We spent more than two hours of sunny afternoon for three course dish in half full restaurant. How is it possible that it is listed on 1st place in region??

The restaurant is nice with terrace and large parking. It is on nice location away from crowd and tourist destinations. The menu is minimalistic with limited selection. It contains a few local dishes and a few international dishes. The wine list contained just house wine. The table settings is part usual with normal plates part vintage from socialistic times with tin plates and tin bowls. The food tasted average like in a big hotel restaurant. The disappointment was the quantity of the food. I ordered what was called on the menu "Real Vienna steak" with cranberries and potatoes. Unfortunately the price was like in Vienna but the steak was less that half the normal size.

Excellent slow food restaurant, but reservations only (!). although rather new (opened in 2011?), it has already been named in the selection of best Slovenian restaurants.
There are restaurants and there are top restaurants, and the Mak is clearly running not for the no. 2 spot in Slovenia. Here you experience everything that goes with it, from a creative firework that lights like the bacon on the bread sticks you start with up to the wine cellar, the ceremonial, the multitude of courses that you will experience without leaving the restaurant feeling filled.David Vračko is called the „Rocker Chef“, and he is special even compared to his colleagues which are a special type of mankind in general. The guests experience this with a much higher presence of him around the table, with an intensive dialogue and the feeling that the meal is completely directed by his intentions. Do not plan to finish an important multimillion dollar deal after the fifth course because he will focus all your intention on that specially selected piece of food that he found out yesterday could be prepared in an innovative new way you would not have imagined on your menu during your whole life. Not that this restaurant is all show. In the contrary, the service only supports the inspirations of the chef. But give them the air in your mind to develop and grow, and leave the daily business for the next morning.A chef to be followed. The 21st century has just started, and he is just starting to unfold.
