Opposite Laplandia hotel/apartments, few minutes walk from main chair lift. Had dinner here couple of times during a 5 night stay and thought this was the best restaurant in a Pamporovo for dinner. Huge menu selection of Bulgarian and international dishes. Liver starter was really good as were all the meat main courses. Even in a big group the service is excellent and super friendly. Great place, highly recommended.

Top 10 European food in Pamporovo, Smolyan Province, Bulgaria
We arrived at the beautiful town of Smolyan and after parking the car set off to try and find somewhere for lunch. No were seemed obvious but we then noticed small entrance through a semi open structure which looked like it led to a cafe. We walked in and were astonished to find ourselves in a very sophisticated yet not overly formal looking restaurant, It was very busy but we were taken straight to a table. It was then we noticed the main frontage and door was down a side street which is why we had misjudged it at first. The menu consisted as is usual in Bulgaria with what looks like hundreds of items but amongst them were a number I had not seen before. We were quicky brought drinks and we ordered local sausage ,bread and risotto. Service was quick and the food when it arrived was of fantastic quality. Risotto in Bulgaria is usually very good and the Paganranka's was sublime. The enormous sausage was well spiced and of excellent quality and came with a a thick fresh tomato sauce and loads of cucumber and yoghurt salad. The bread was a freshly made unleavened type folded over and stuufed with cheese. The whole meal was delicious and far too much for lunch. However at just over £5 per head including beer and coffee it was not too much of an indulgence. This really was a first rate experience.
