We stumbled upon this place while exploring town and decided to eat here. The service was very pleasant. There was a mixup in the English/ Germany menu which we only discovered after starting dinner. When we pointed this out to our waiter he fixed it right away without any question. This is not a big tourist town for English speaking tourists which is what makes it nice, it is geared for Germanyâs so these things can be expected.

We arrived at Meersburg center and walked down to the waterside through the very old and beautiful streets with many souvenir shops, restaurants at a great surrounding The terrace of the Alte Post was very inviting. Menu card has many different dishes. We tried the Salat Teller as well as the Fitness Teller. Both very well dressed and large portions.Friendly staff and the lake view completed it perfectly

Walking from Hagnau to Meersburg the Haltnau always has been a nice place to rest. But it´s nothing for lunch or dinner. Enjoy the view drinking a good glass of local wine or something else and don´t expect too much of the service: Then you`ll be fine.Living in Friedrichshafen I sometimes stay there just looking at the water. The best you can do.

Came in for lunch with my family at 2:30pm after the normal lunch crowd. Very clean place and attentive, professional staff. With no prompting brought coloring books and pencils, which kept my kids occupied. We all ordered off the daily menu (on the chalkboard outside). We had maultaschen, linzen mit wurst, and kartoffelsuppe. All was exceptionally good. Great place to stop when visiting Meersburg.

Perhaps it was just poor luck, but our visit was anything other than a great experience. Both of us ordered the fish, each with a different sauce. When we asked for a wine recommendation, the waitress seemed clueless, and recommended the housewine. We both ordered a 0.25l of the same wine. It was served in a glass filled to the top. We actually thought it was a joke. When we asked for different glasses, the waitress yelled across the room, that 'those people want different wineglasses'. Certainly did not make us feel very welcome. The food was served with basically no garnish, but the portion sizes were huge. The fish, despite being two different kinds, pretty much was covered in sauce and it all tasted a bit bland and the same. I will not start on the courgettes that were boilt to death and beyond. At some point, other guests came and wanted to sit at a table that had not been prepared yet. The waitress rolled her eyes at the request... This apparently is supposed to be a good restaurant, but unfortunately we had a very unpleasant experience, and other not having left hungry, this was not a positive experience.

Although they have a short choice menu, you can't go wrong if you are looking for very fresh fish.We had a baked trout with potato salad and a plate of three different fishes, which was delicious. If the day is sunny they have a nice terrace with a magnific lake view.

The visit at the Casala was a Christmas present for my parents and it turned out to be even better than hoped for. The food is simply outstanding with a fantastic array of flavours, variations and surprises. We tried (parts of) the eight course set menue and there is no doubt it is amongst the best we have had. The wine list is most imrpessive including a remarkable regional selection. The service is relaxed, informed and attentive and the staff really appear to know and love their profession. The restaurant itself is airy, well-designed and the views over the lake are stunning (it was, admittedly, already dark when we arrived). We are still talking about the experience and look forward to returning as soon as possible.

Got a seat on the terrace and had the Winzerbraten, it positively melted in the mouth, came with a dressed salad all washed down with a cold weissbugunder which itself ticked all the boxes - crisp and fresh. Would cheerfully pay a repeat visit. Prices very fair considering the situation and competition.

We had lunch last Friday in this bresserie and enjoyed their "Flammkuchen" an Alsacian speciality. You can choose from different toppings for this crispy thin breadshell. A light and healthy meal. We have been dining here before and the service is very friendly and the location is excellent, just opposite the Konstanz railways station.
