Picked more or less at random. The proprietors are very friendly. The food arrived promptly and was very good, if a bit salty for our taste, but that's common in Germany. We had pork steaks with Pfifferlinge, which were delicious. There's a limited kids menu, but the mash with the fish fingers is amazing, if not terribly healthy... There's a huge amount of butter in it, but it's also flavoured with nutmeg, which is a very successful idea I'm going to be taking home with me.

Visited the Dagernova Culinarium, following a recommendation from a local guest house owner, during a short visit to Dernau. It is noted that the restaurant was renovated ca. 2-years ago, resulting in a very modern & stylish venue. Service was good on the whole. The menu provided plenty of options, and both of our meals were very nicely presented, tasty and plentiful. Were glad we took the recommendation! Recommend a visit if you are in the area!!!

The Meyer Naekel winesales and offices are a few blocks separated. The restaurant is at Dernau, Romerstrasse, near the church. You cannot miss it.Very friendly service in a rather typical local food environment. The wine list is impressive: for red try the Blauschieffer, an excellent Spaetburgunder. The food is OK,fresh, good quality, but not worth any detour.Having said that,I will certainly go back to this nice restaurant and lovely village.Parking is not very easy.

Service by the lady owner was sweet, unhurried and personal but we were the only guests. We opted for the 3-course asperagus menu. Some strange combinations we did not understand;- the soup was great, but was accompanied by a giant shrimp;- the main course was very tasty but contained very little (good) asperagus, which appeared to be severey overcooked, and was heavily overshadowed by a very nice but strong meat sauce.- the wine was very nice, and local, from carafs. When we left we felt that price and quality were misalligned, we felt that dinner was not worth the E108

At the end of our walking tour from Altenahr to Mayschoss we followed a recommendation of a friend and went into this restaurant. The staff was friendly and mindful. We chose marinated venison. Quantity and quality was realy good and the price was fair. At the end the waiter offered a gratis refill. Together with the excellent wine it was a perfect meal for around ⬠25 per person.

Very good restaurant serving regional dishes. I started with a salad which was not only nicely decorated, but also provided a variety of tasty and fresh greens. The main dish was deer stew, very tender in a delicious sauce served with red cabbage and potato dumplings. The service was friendly and accommodating, even as we were the last guests to come in for dinner.Decent selection of wines by the glass, although not as good as elsewhere. All dishes are reasonably priced.

During an "off site" business meeting my international colleagues and I were treated to a very special gourmet evening at this wonderfully atmospheric restaurant We walked down from the nearby hotel with the same name and were soon seated at one large table on the ground floor in what I understand is the Weinkirche ("Wine church"). We were immediately attended to by a small army of waiters and waitresses whose sole preoccupation was to make our evening a very special one indeed. Having ordered some excellent local Sekt to get us into the spirit of things we then set about trying to understand the menus â the food was rather spectacularly described in flowing German. What I liked was the way that the main waitress who looked after us ensured that each dish that was brought out was expressively described in very good English.I didn't make a note of the menu which was taken away from us after we had ordered. I went for their "standard" set menu which was wonderful. Whilst I don't recall each course I can only confirm that this was a very special culinary experience in a wondrously atmospheric setting. For that special celebration this is certainly the place to come.

AtmosphereNice sunny terrace. The road is close but didn't bother us.FoodJust lovely. Gazpazio soup was so good, I wanted to order a second portion. They had several portions with fresh chanterelle, we chose the crepe with chanterelle. And the snails in red wine were good too. Everything was very fresh and home made. Also they had a very interesting list with moose etc.PriceNot expensive, soup maybe 5 EUR? Crepe maybe 10? (don't remember anymore, but general feeling was that not expensive)ServiceFriendly, cozyDrinksLovely German wines from the area.Would I recommend?Yes, absolutely. It is German food (not my favourite...) but very fresh, authentic, and yet stylish. I will return for sure.
