My Bosch friends took me here following a business meeting. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. There are few restaurants left in the world where the staff is attentive to the needs of the patrons. Schwabenstube is a spectacular exception. The owner is visibly involved in every aspect of the meal. He was clearly engaged not only during preparation but during serving and cleaning as well. Feel free to arrive hungry because the portions are not only tasty but sized for a strapping German worker. I found the meat to be tender and perfectly cooked. The cabbage was just what this American wanted. The salad was fresh, crisp and mildly dressed.Utensils were brought and cleaned as needed. The table was always clean and organized. We stayed very late and also enjoyed desert and warm coffee. We even had nice conversation with the staff.Respect the quality of this establishment and dress for the occasion. It will be more enjoyable for all.Highly recommended for a high quality gastronomic experience.

Attentive and friendly staff. Fun decour. Iâve always leaned more to Neapolitan style pizza, but Iâm going to be much more open minded going forward. La Pinseria really does it right. We also had side salads, those were quite enjoyable. I wanted to try dessert, but I was full. They have a short, but very well chosen wine list. My only complaint is they arenât closer to my house! If they were, I would be a regular customer!!

This place was recommended to me by my hotel and by a couple I stopped to ask directions. I couldn't have been more pleased. It serves local Schwabien cuisine. Everything was great. The service was good, the food was great, the local beer was wunderbar. It's one block away from the old square in the center of town. I'm sure you'll be pleased that you go there.

I have been multiple times. The food is excellent and the beer issuper. The local is always crowded and tyou can experince the typical Brauhaus atmosphere. The service is friendly. During the good season you can eat outside in the square.

Have a great laugh with the friendly staff and owner whilst enjoying the finest that this region offers. No not Bratwurst, but an excellent selection of local delicacies and local wines. The dry Riesling is superb as are the pork and veal dishes, and don't forget the fish, fresh daily. If you are in the area collecting the excellent restaurants then add this one to your list.

Here you can find many Swebisch (and Swiss) specialties, the owner is friendly and the service rapid. The Portions are generous and the food good. Also the atmosphere is nice and traditional. Worths a visit when in Marbach.

Hard to find. About a block going up from the entrance is an outdoor (under a roof overhang) self service used book library with books in all languages for 2 Euros each. We ate in the Kronekeller (celler) which every Monday has special - Flammkuchen -similar to a very light thincrust pizza that is not tough or chewy. For dessert had the same thin crust with cream topped with thin slices of Apple and Apple brandy poured over it at the table and served flambé. Only open 11:30-2:30 and 5:30- 8:30

The Glocke is a traditional and not very exciting restaurant, but it has an acceptable standard and is worth a visit if one loves German food. The local has a mixed traditional and 1980s look and has hardly been upgraded the last 25 years. The staff was friendly, but seemingly not so interested in a non-local visitor. The food was a rather average experience. The salad served as a starter was not quite fresh, and things seemed to turn out very, very bad as I found a piece of plastic in it. I was more happy to try the Wildschwein aus eigener Jagd (wild boar from their own hunting), which was a very good experience, served with a delicious brown sauce and house made spätzle. All of it made a good impression, except for an attempted arty decoration of whipped cream on the plate, which was uneatable because the cream was sour. The main course was acceptable, but the details were unfortunately big failures.

Following a rather disastrous experience when eating out with the family (they're visiting from Spain) the day before, this place has made our week!We were somewhat late for lunch by German standards and were still welcome to take a seat in the outdoor terrace that is bordered by what I think is a part of the historical town wall. What a beautiful place to sit in the historical town of Marbach! If I got it right, the place is run by a middle aged couple. Rather than talking about "service", I'd like to compare this as being for lunch at your aunt's who does really good home cooking and is taking special care to make things just right for you. It's not the sleek choreography they exercise at hotels, but it certainly has it's charm. The food is very good home cooking, we had authentic home made Maultaschen (with lots of meaty filling and easy on the veggies; those were certainly made from scratch!) and duck breast on sautéed beets and corn frittatas. Dessert was really good, especially the home made ice cream and sorbet. The price point is very reasonable, as the quality and preparation of food was quite excellent. We really did enjoy our lunch there very much!
