Nice outdoor setting. Wine list very limited. Wife ordered fried catfish, got it baked in a cream sauce. Desserts the same. A so called mousse that had the consistency and taste of a blob of yogurt. Service gives new meaning to slow. I just don't know how else to rate it.

17fuffzig was the last of three Michelin starred restaurants in three different countries in which we had dined over a one-week period; although it carried the fewest stars, it was the best overall experience. The service was both professional and cheerful, and our waiter took great pride in his selection of German wines for us. Though skeptical when informed we'd be drinking a German red with our meat course, we were very pleasantly surprised by his choice. The food consisted of delicious and edible (rather than merely beautiful) takes on familiar favorites; the first of six courses was a creme brulee of foie gras paired with a tart, truffle-scented salad and an excellent German Riesling, and it was probably the best use of foie gras I've seen. Dessert was a pear and pistachio strudel with ice cream. The decor was comfortable rather than fussy or stuffy, but the restaurant was separated from the smoking lounge by a mere curtain, and the smoke definitely had a negative impact on the experience. In fact, our clothes still smelled strongly of stale smoke the next morning.

Das Restaurant Rastkeller wurde im Juni 2017 neu eingerichtet und eröffent. Das Angebot umfasst eine deutsche, regionale, saisonale und moderne Küche.
The Luckau Ratskeller is superb. It was worth the trip. We found well prepared local meals of the Lausitz (Brandenburg) - and even accompanied them with a local wine of Brandenburg (yes, that exists - and some of them are good). The restaurant under the vaults of the town hall is cosy and the service was perfect and friendly. We had "Lausitzer Leibgerichte" (favorite Lausitz dishes: Trout filet, pork aspic, regional curd cheese with horseradish, corniness with apple and onion, and spice cucumber), then Bratfisch von der Lachsforelle (pickled fried salmon trout, as grand-mother prepared it, with potatoes, sour cream milk, linseed oil and regional cucumber). Simply delicious. The Brandenburgian wine was a blend of Solaris and Riesling from Marbachs Wolfshügel - we liked it. The Ratskeller also has a fine selection of wines from more traditional wine regions, in case you do not trust the wines of Brandenburg. We felt almost at home in the Ratskeller - the waiter identifed our Swiss dialect as being from Basel, as he had worked in Switzerland for many years. Luckau is a pretty small town in the Brandenburgian Lausitz, south east of Berlin. Surrounded by a ditch and a town wall you find a small castle on a small hill, a Gothic church built with red bricks, an old Romanesque church now used as a festival hall and baroque gable houses. There is also a real vineyard near Luckau (Juergen Rietze). The city of Luckau was worth the detour when spending our vacation in the Spreewald... AND CLEALY, the Luckau Ratskeller was worth the trip. ¨Dear guestWe say a big THANK YOU! - For your very good rating of the "Ratskeller" with its food and beverage selection, the description of the region and your visit.âVielä Dank & uf Widerluegeâ.

A micro-brewery and pub, very nicely decorated, great menu and good drinks (their own beer of course, the wine was also good). Slightly strange: horrid "Schlager" music the first evening with a moderately friendly middle aged waitress, then lovely jazz the next evening with a really friendly younger waiter! He explained that the waitrons are allowed to choose the music. Hm.

I went to eat at Bubak with my girlfriend after we had a day swimming at the Tropical Islands Resort close by. The food was great, especially the Schnitzel! The staff was friendly but did not speak English very well. Would eat here again.

We came for a late Sunday lunch, and had the best experience ever. Excellent service. Warm, welcoming staff. We expressed curiosity regarding the towns pride: sour gherkins, that lots of Sunday tourists had bought buckets of at the market. The restaurant provided us with a delicate selection of gorgeous gherkins before our main courses were served. What a delight! It was not added on the bill either. The mains were excellent also. If near by - do not miss it!

We visited this little restaurant in augustus and were surprised by the attention that was payed to the quality of the food. You could see and taste that the cook cooks with love. The food was tasteful and good prepared and the white house-wine (rizling) was very good. There were two points of attention: at first was the salad fresh, but (as we think) just a bag from the supermarket and second, the stake was good prepared, but held a lot of (zehnen). When I pointed that out the only response was: Oh, Dass ist Schade. Not any suggestion to solve this out.

Beautiful terrace dining experience overlooking the river. A menu that is seasonal and influenced heavily by the availability of local ingredients combined with local culinary flavors. All staff spoke decent English and were very friendly. I would call the pricing totally appropriate and we felt we got a good deal. I would recommend this restaurant highly and would recommend the associated Strandhaus Hotel for overnight stays.
