This quaint little restaurant is tucked away in the Scheiderhöhe. Not necessarily the place you would expect to find an excellent range of local and international cuisine. We have been here a number of times and never have we been disappointed. The sevice is very freindly and to top it off - they have a very nice beer garden. All in all a very good place to dine - a little hide away... dont tell anyone!

Our party of six decided to have dinner in Siegburg one evening, and after doing some homework we booked a table at the Kaiserhof Brasserie. As it was a very German restaurant in a very German village, I had suspected that the menu would only be in German, so before leaving England I copied their menu down and wrote a translation next to it. At the restaurant this was extremely useful as the menu was in fact only in German and the waitress didnât speak much of anything else either (though she was VERY pleasant and smiling). The menu was extensive and interesting, and most of us ended up having either meat or pasta. Having had a late lunch, we didnât have space for dessert, but everybody made the right noises and sounded very pleased with their dishes. The atmosphere was pleasant too, and prices were reasonable. Recommended!

We were invited to a birthday party at Forsthaus Telegraph. When planning the route, we came across the very positive reviews, which Forsthaus Telegraph has received online. Our expectations were therefore quite high and we were not disappointed!ServiceTo serve a four course menu plus a delicious "greeting from the kitchen" and drinks timely and stress free is not easy. The team at Forsthaus' Telegraph managed to serve politely and quietly.FoodOur host had a good hand in choosing the menu. The starter was a Tartar from "Matjes" with spring salad and small potato pancakes. Down to earth, Northern and good, but for my taste the potato pancakes were a bit greasy. The Crèmesoup of curry with mango strips was a tasty, well-chosen contrast. For the main course, there was a very tasty fillet of pork with herbs on malt beer sauce and vegetables. The Palatinan Pinot Blanc and the Pinot Noir from the Nahe were good, combining well with the food. When the dessert variety "Forsthaus Telegraph" was served it became very quiet in our room, it was very good. The Forsthaus Telegraph follows the habit of using UHT milk for latte, which unfortunately is widespread in Germany. Not using fresh milk leads to a one point deduction on the rating. However, on a positive note, it should be mentioned that the team was on hand to alternatively prepare coffee with fresh whipped cream.AmbianceThe Forsthaus Telegraph is modern, however it has many rustic features and original features.CleanlinessThe modern toilets and the guest rooms were spotlessly.LocationThe Forsthaus Telegraph lies south of the runways of Cologne-Bonn airport (CGN), on the edge of the military restricted area, in the "Kaiserforst" at Wahner Heide. I did not hear the airport, not even on the outside terrace. The environment is quiet and green. The Forsthaus Telegraph deserves an almost unqualified recommendation.

We recently visited Restaurant Schwanenhof in Lohmar on the recommendation of our friends who live nearby. They suggested arriving early because it can get crowded later on and when we arrived just a few minutes after it opened, there were already two other tables filled. The food is mostly typical German style entrees but everything comes with a salad bar, which we haven't encountered at other restaurants. Since we really enjoy salad bars, this was a very nice touch and it offered a good selection of options for salad with unlimited servings there, which was also nice. The menu was in German but the server helped with some of the translation and we were able to make our food selections without any trouble. Both my husband and I decided to order the rump steak, one with the sliced potatoes and the other with baked potato. Both steaks were cooked to perfection, exactly as ordered, and the entire meal was delicious! The meat was very tender - so tender, in fact, it could be cut with a fork alone, although there was a steak knife provided. The restaurant menu had many other options to choose from and our friends ordered their favorites, which were delicious as well. The menu also offered a variety of wines, beers and other drinks, including several types of non-alcoholic beers and non-carbonated juices. We couldn't resist the tempting dessert menu and had difficulty choosing among the many tasty options - when the desserts were served, they were much larger than anticipated, too, so we were very glad we had chosen a lighter option!Best of all, the prices were very reasonable - dinner, drinks and dessert for the four of us was well under 100 Eur, even though we did not make any attempt to 'scrimp' and most had more than one drink. The only 'down side' was the steep staircase at the entrance, which would make it difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Overall, it was a very pleasant meal and I recommend this restaurant to anyone who happens to be in the vicinity.

My wife and I spent the day in Siegburg in December and could not find a restaurant to our liking. We stumbled upon Peperoni, which was a little off the beaten path. Our visit to the restaurant produced a pleasing dining experience. Peperoni serves both Italian and German food. The salads are fresh and the main courses are large and flavorable. If in Siegburg again, I would return to Peperoni.

This was my second visit here. Both times the food was truly amazing. The bread starter and dips was out of this world - especially the beetroot dip. Followed by an amazing mixed platter i would dine here every night if i lived in Siegburg.Certainly one of my most favorite restaurants when traveling.

Spending one night close to the airport Köln/Bonn we came to this restaurant after having a look at TA reviews. We enjoyed a good dinner for a correct amount of money spent: aperitif/Hugo,open white and red wine, espresso....with two main dishes and one appetizer for 80 Euros.Amuse-bouche was complimentary and tasted nice: home made bread with an innovative spread. The Argentinian beef with fried onions was delicious as well as the fish fillet:"cabillaud" with tomato risotto and green asparagus. The restaurant is located in a quiet surrounding, no problem to find a parking place.Better call for a reservation to be sure to have a table.Compliments also for the quick and friendly service.
