Kitchener, used to be called Berlin, has a large German speaking population. After some research we decided to give this restaurant a try when we visited Kitchener last fall. Upon entering the restaurant the decor, the food and the atmosphere all felt like we were in Germany. Its brunch included schnitzel, sauerkraut and roast beef. Desserts were quite plentiful too.

My husband and I came here for the first time as we heard a lot of good things about Two Goblets. The place was cozy and had a homey feeling which was quite inviting. It was lunch time so we had their all you can eat buffet. The schnitzel was nice and thin and very tender, pan fried to a crispy golden brown. The mash potatoes were creamy and smooth and the coleslaw, crisp and refreshing. The proggies were a delight also.Seems like the schnitzel were done in small batches so they always came out of the kitchen hot, ready to be devoured.Luckily, we came early because the place filled up fairly quickly. Use the parking garage across the street as Two Goblets will cover up to 2 hours.Great food and excellent service at a fair price. Highly recommended.

There are many restaurants across the Czech Republic that serve mostly schnitzel in the same way we do here at the Metro. No matter what schnitzel you choose from our menu, we hope you truly enjoy this traditional dish as much as we enjoy serving it!
Food was disgusting, I ate a scoop of mashed potatoes and a small dish of coleslaw, the cabbage rolls tasted like crap. The waitress asked if I wanted to take the food I wouldn't eat and I said no, then she asked if I wanted a takeout container, I said no, but she never asked why. My wife and our friend also found the cabbage rolls disgusting. Then when I went to pay, I used debit and was going to tip in cash, but she burst outloud saying so everyone could hear, thanks for not giving me a tip and stormed off. I will never go back to Metro again.

The intersections of highways often breed shopping malls of various types and as shopping malls expand, they attract restaurants ranging from spiffy sit ins to takeouts, with some eating on site capacity. There just after lunch and not having been eaten, I selected Pierogi House form quite a few options. When well done, pierogis are absolutely delicious - so I went in. The menu offerings are quite varied and you work through a series of questions about options that have become fairly common now that the computer generation has grown up and started restaurants. There are four soups, two of which are on offer on any given day. I fancied Borscht, but that was not available. You can get a snack pack of four pierogies of your choice inexpensively, and I imagine that works well with the soup. There are other levels of options and I opted for the six pack - which comes with two side dishes that you can select from the table which are a mixture of salads and pickle options. You also get toppings, and I chose bacon bits(real!) and onions (nicely cooked). it all comes in a custom plate package which (thoughtfully) has a drainage system to take out the excess oil. The pierogies - of which there are many options - are stored in the steam table and put on the grill to brown. The place is clean and tidy and the service is OK. The décor is a bit austere, but modernist and comfortable. They also have a fridge filled with various delights on the menu to take away and cook at home.Pretty good place for a quick and filling meal.
