Find out what Central European restaurants to try in Kaatsheuvel. Kaatsheuvel (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈkaːtsɦøːvəl]) is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant, situated along highways N261 and N628. With a population of roughly 16,600, it is the largest village in and the capital of the municipality of Loon op Zand, which also consists of the villages of De Moer and Loon op Zand. As Kaatsheuvel is a municipality capital, it had a town hall located in the town centre. The town hall was torn down in 2010 as part of an ambitious plan to build a lively new town centre. Currently the new town centre is being built, working title Bruisend Dorpshart (Sparkling Village's Heart). Kaatsheuvel is (internationally) well known for the Efteling theme park and a gateway to National Park Loonse en Drunense Duinen.

This new grand cafe was opened early in 2016 and on my "to visit" list for while already. Yesterday I took my sons out to lunch and visited this modern facility. The place is large, has a big outside terrace and a transparent view from the sitting area inside to the kitchen. There is also a large bar in the middle of the interior but also cosy and a bit secluded seating arrangements on the sides are available. In all pleasant surroundings with nice Christmas decorations adding to the atmosphere. We had lunch and we all chose something different. In the mean time we had a chat with the owner who certainly puts his own mark on the way to run the premises. After a short wait the orders were delivered and we enjoyed the meals which were somewhat different and very tasteful. The place was not very crowded on an early Sunday but we will surely come again for a nice dinner. They use the "Josper" oven grill to cook their fish and meat and we certainly must try this next time. Hopefully visitors of the Efteling will discover this nice venue and they deserve it.

A rather wonderful dining experience that you will not forget. Not your average restaurant, and you may only visit once or a few times, but you will not forget.Great location and property, done out exceptionally well, really friendly staff and they know their wines. We enjoyed a 10 course meal, starting with a fruity dish to get your pallet sorted followed by fish, duck and other courses before the sweets.Lovely evening, great food highly recommended.

Eetlokaal Klinkers restaurant is located in Oosterhout centre close to the impressive tower of the St-jans Basilica AD 1493. Furnishings and decoration provide a brasserie-café atmosphere. The food is much better than the name âEetlokaalâ indicates. Service is adequate and friendly.Traditional cuisine defines its character. We came on a weekday and the restaurant was pretty full, a good sign. We went for a classical course and were not disappointed. Food is well presented and tasty. We recommend Eetlokaal Klinkers to anyone who seeks good food at a reasonable price. The restaurant deserves a Bib Gourmand.Dear Mrs Piket, thank you so much for your kind review. Hope to see you soon again. Best regards,Niels Janssen
