Just off the city centre, on the island between the two branches of the Neckar, is the Insel Hotel, but its highlight is the restaurant. In the good season you can eat al fresco in the beautiful terrace, overlooking the river and sheltered by high trees. The food is of the highest quality, the service kind and attentive, the choice of wine very good. Being there in the right season, I had a selection of spargel dishes (asparagus), and it was fantastic. Will be there again!

We sat outside on a beautiful summer evening. We had a large group, everyone was pleased with their choice, there was a lot of variety. It's a nice location along the river, good place to people watch the passersby as well.

This restaurant is grandma's favorite restaurant in Heilbronn, where she is from. There is a small lake behind the restaurant, and the restaurant is quite spacious. It offers simple, yet delicious German food, and the salad for vegetarians is also very good.

We´ve had an nice dinner and a breakfast there, both was very delicious! The place is very easy to find because it´s opposite the main train station heilbronn. Some nice hotels are around and in the same house as the restaurant they have a design hotel.A lot of people came in on sunday morning, so you should make a reservation in advance.

Very nice kitchen, very friendly and expierenced staff. Went for the âchefs menuâ including matching wines. Every single course was very well prepared. Itâs a nice âa little bit othersâ kitchen (compared with the many German, Italian, ... kitchen in Heilbronn). Restaurant is a little bit noisy, reservation necessary in the weekend. We chose the Ratskeller based on reviews, and it did not disappoint! The staff was friendly, intelligent, customer-focused and fun. The food was excellent (we had lovely starters, schnitzel and sauerbraten mains, sorbet and a lovely local wine). The restaurant is pretty- it was a hot night and sitting outside after 7 pm was perfect. We will definitely return the next time were in Heilbronn.
