This restaurant is part of Gasthof Kohlmayr, at the main square of Gmünd, the "Hauptplatz". The advantages of this restaurant are the continuous service from the kitchen (no stoppage between lunch time and dinner time) and the outside tables, where a splendid sit-down can be had, watching Gmünd street life. This continuous service enabled us to have an early dinner (can also be called a late lunch). We had the advantage of glorious late afternoon weather. Cold beer and an excellent Cordon Bleu schnitzel made the sit-down perfect. Service of the staff was polite and efficient. To be recommended.

A quirky delight, the old castle has a suave style that is fascinating, Ula's Spätzle are always good, I enjoy taking guests there to show it off!

I was there with my friends during our one-day trip to Austria. Searching for a place to eat we were forced to enter this restaurant because all places on open air were just occupied. Once we entered, we were never sorry for having done that. The place was very smart and clean and the stuff was more then kind a very helpful, as we didn't speak the language. We chose food from the daily menu - a soup, a main course and a desert. The soup was very tasty and the main dish - lamb ragù with dumplings and red wine sauce was just delicious. We were a bit perplexed with a strawberry tiramisù as some of us are italien - well, it shouldn't be called tiramisù but it was so good that I would ordered that again. The place is right on the square with some seats on open air and lots of place inside. There is also a car park on the square. I really would like to thank to the staff for not just very good food but also very nice reception. We are planning to go back to that part to see the castles we didn't have time to visit but surely we will eat again in this restaurant. Regarding the prices - the day menu we had cost ⬠13, ordering from the normal menu - a soup, a main dish and a desert would be approximately ⬠20 plus drink.

One of restaurant we think about to eat in while we are in or near Trebon. This one is really worth of visit at least once. Their offer is based on schnitzels and local meals. Of course you can get something non-schnitzelish, but that would be rather limited choice. There is plenty of special schnitzels like the one in parmesan crust or the one in beer batter. Or you can choose just the schnitzel from various meats â veal of course, turkey, pork and carp. The restaurant is located in rather new hotel, so it is clean and nicely decorated, but when it gets crowded, it might be a bit bothersome experience, as there is not much space and when you get a table in the middle, you probably would be bumped by someone sooner or later. The service is quite appropriate to the kind and location of the restaurant and feels like theyâre happy you have come.Food is definitely good. One has to try it, because it is simply something different from restaurants here, which offers almost all the same. And there is a large parking space just in from of the restaurant, which is great in Trebon as there is not many free parking places near restaurants, so you can make a stop on you road passing by.

If you look for a place to eat around Zwettl in the North of Austria, this is one of the better choices. Traditional and not so traditional food is served together with good wine and in a very down-to-earth regional ambience. The owners could don a smile once in a while and the opening times are rare, but apart from that this old-style Wirtshaus is a lovely choice for a weekend lunch.

We took our Norwich Terrier with us to Trebon and were a bit worried if we would find somewhere for lunch where he would be allowed inside due to weather. We were pleasantly surprised when the staff let us bring him inside. The food was great,my husband had some wild boar with "bramborak" and I had a carp (when in Trebon have some carp) with blue cheese sauce which was amazing. We had two coffees and one beer, the entire bill was only 481 Kc.

Enchanting atmosphere at the entrance to the castle garden. The interior is lit with candles, however there is no daylight. I recommend visiting during night time - that's when the atmosphere is at its best. Fast and kind service. All the meals are splendid so you can't go wrong with the choice. The only bad thing about our visit was when we found out they don't accept cards for payment. Luckily, there is an ATM about 3 minutes walk from the restaurant.

We would like to invite you to our Supina and Supinka restaurants. Please feel free to come and enjoy the extraordinary experience. The region of Trebon evokes beautiful south Bohemian countryside full of meadows in blossom, scented with and full of life
My Czech foodie wife picked this restaurant (as she does) from researching ahead & planning our travels around restaurants (i.e. hike for 15km & you can have whatever you like). The service & food was absolutely excellent & truly exceeded my expectations. We tried both soups as entrees, which were delicious & then carp/kapr & mash all round with a mushroom & dill sauce. I'm not a huge fish fan admittedly, but this was delicious, with as slightly spicy crumb coating rather than a traditional batter.Would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant, though the brewery trip next door (which we also visited) can be left off your itinerary, as a bit blah.

Had lunch here. Both my wife and I chose the farm trout with roast potatoes and wild mushrooms. The trout was cooked superbly and the food was served piping hot. The trout also tasted very nice with an earthy taste complimented with its crispy skin. It was served as a fillet so nice not to have any bones to contend with. A good size meal. We had read reviews which stated that the menu was extensive. This simply isn't the case. There are about 4 or 5 main courses to choose from. The service was good as was the ambiance. Nice and warm inside after being chilled outside. The prices were comparable to higher class restaurants in Prague. Not cheap by local standards. Enjoyed the meal very much.
