Our restaurant with traditional Hungarian excellent quality raw materials, specifically controlled for many years with authentic Hungarian cuisine lovers, outdoor oven cooked stew -and made specialties to our guests.
We went to a family lunch in this restaurant. Indeed, the only plus of the place is its place in the forest. However all the rest is pretty bad, well below even the local average. Service was not outright rude but nothing above transporting dishes from kitchen to table. The place had zero flexibility (e.g. one kid wanted only cottage cheese in his pancake without fruits, this was not possible). Portions are small - especially compared to the price. Finally, the plates were amazingly tasteless, some parts not fresh at all - which is really bad for fried potatoes.Do not go to this place, even if you choose randomly from others in Balatonfured you will get a better experience.

We returned here after enjoying a lovely lunch. At the first visit the service was good with the exception of one waiter who clearly didnât want to serve the English speakers however getting the bull was a mission. Weâre not demanding and appreciate that any English is a gift here in Hungary. We returned for an evening meal last night as we did enjoy the food and the outlook was nice. When we arrived the restaurant wasnât full but there were lots of busy waiters who are very skilled at ignoring customers. We enjoyed our mains and would have ordered desserts or coffee if it were it for the lack of attention. After our plates were cleared it was nearly 3/4 of an hour before we could any attention. But then we just wanted the bill. It just seems that there is lack of organisation and load of opportunity.Getting the bill took another half an hour.

We managed to get a reservation last minute. Being a Friday evening we did not wanted to go there unannounced. The service was excellent. We got our drinks in a few minutes, and we got our food in about 20 minutes and we were 10 people. The food in so many words was perfect. We also had desert, which was very delicious. I also had coffee, unfortunately they did not have lactose free milk, thus I could not have my latte machiatto, my favorite type of coffee as planned, only a plain espresso. The ambiance was very nice, I liked it very much. There was some music or radio in the background, but it was not too loud, thus we were able to speak with each other. I certainly recommend to try out this restaurant for it's exquisite food and great and friendly service for a reasonable price, although if you are lactose intolerant you will have to choose carefully from the dishes in order to comply with your diet.

We had dinner tonight at this place and ordered salmon, roasted duck and some cocktails. The food was pretty good. Tasty, served well and on-time. The waiter who serviced was friendly and polite. Unfortunately this can not be said to the one who brought the bill. First, she hardly accepted our discount voucher and second, there was an additional dessert on our bill what we did not order. The waitress sorted it out in a second without further complains or arguments (however this made us suspicious). Though it was a nice dinner and place but we left with some bitter sweet feelings. #BitterSweetDesset

We stayed at the hotel Aqua, we didnât realise the hotel had full board so we looked for places nearby. We called and booked a place and we spoke to Mattias/Matues in perfect English. The food was amazing. The starter of foie with rillette was the best foie dish I have ever had. Seriously. Followed by the quail with ducks liver. The wine, Janus, was great. Plus the dessert of cheese balls and creams was brilliant.I was so surprised. mattias/matteus (not sure how to spell his name in Hungarian) was great. He explained every dish in Queen Elizabeth perfect English with the accent as well, no idea where he learnt to speak such perfect English but it helped us a lot

After a whole day of cycling in the heat around Balaton we decided it was time for a good dinner. Soptei Pinceszet & Etterem was everything we expected and more. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable and did not care we wore our sport gear, so no dress code restrictions. Despite that we got a gourmet meal, a great service in very good English and one of the best dining experiences in Hungary. We probably spent there about 4 hours sampling the amazing menu and enjoying the local wine. If I go back to Balaton I will infidelity visit again!!

Baricska Csarda is in odd environment, between ancestor grapes in the heart of Balatonfured - from the ship harbour, and from Tagore promenade onto cca. 600 metres. From the terrace, wich is covered with the wild vine there is a magnificent view overlooks
Recommended by our Hungarian friend and full of locals....the service was very attentive and the local gypsy music (we bought the CD) was great. The food was very creative - a delicious chilled cucumber soup with cheese/dill, followed by zander from the lake with an amazing red onion/beetroot mousse on a bed of bulgar. The goulash soup was truly authentic and the pork was to die for. Sadly no room for pudding. Wines were great and local. Go go go!!

We had a business dinner here. They have seasonaly changing menu. All, what we tried, were great quality. They also have a nice selection of wine. It is worth to have a walk there from the lake (ap.20 minutes walk). Prices are reasonable.
