We found this great restaurant to eat and we kept coming back our entire time in Balchik. Great service and excellent food, tasty and generous portions, for good money value. We tried the salads, the meats, soups, grills and even desserts. Everyting was excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We had many a very cold beer here (small 2.00 LV, large 2.50 LV) during our stay in Balchik. Good to sit and watch the people walking down to the Botanical Gardens. Very friendly and efficient staff. Restaurant sometimes full with tour parties.Only ate here a couple of times, but food was excellent. We had some delicious squid rings in garlic and butter (LV 12) and even more delicious rapane (Black Sea whelks) in butter and pepper (7.50 LV). Their spaghetti was also very good - I had carbonara - good portion for 7 LV. Local wine the usual price - LV 9.00 for 1/2 a litre.Would definitely recommend.
Having visited Silvias on several occasions I can honestly say the quality of the food has always been superb. All meals are cooked to order, takes a little longer, but why rush a good thing. Portions are big!! some very big!!!. Sunday lunch is true British style, crispy roaster, meat that melts in your mouth giant Yorkshire pud & gravy to match.Steaks cooked to perfection and cut like butter. Try the chillie for a real meal with a kick.Sweets have to be seen to be believed, especially the ice creams with liquer.Overall a gem of a place to eat especially in a country not renoun for its culinery expertice.
