Using local seasonal produce is central to the creation of this modern German and international cuisine. Nowadays it is imperative to know what you eat and drink, hence we put the greatest emphasis on the quality of our food, thus most of our meat is purc
My full review is contained on the hotel rating. This was a 50th wedding anniversary dinner with six family members from the U.S. The food was very good, service was terrible with waiter serving guests outside and inside and having to wait a long time for food and even water refill from initial order. Our great grandmother was born in Deutsches Haus in 1855 when her father was a physician in the city. They lived on the second floor and when two sisters went up to just take photos of the hallway, the staff rudely ordered them out. When they explained the significance of the building to our family, they were again told to leave and ignored their request. The food wasn't worth any of it.

If you enjoy german cuisine this is the right restaurant for you. It has Schweinshaxe, Maultaschen, Rotbarsch and several other traditional courses. We sat inside, the atmosphere is pleasant and the waitress was very helpful. The prices are fair. Nice option in this authentical historical town, were I have been for the second time.

Restaurant Alter Keller is conveniently located near the heart of the walled city but not as touristy as some of the others. The food was great and I enjoyed the outside table sitting without hundreds of tourists going by. The food was great!

We came across Klosterstuble while walking the streets of quaint Rothenburg, popped in to make a reservation for later in the evening, easy & no fuss. The atmosphere is very cozy, welcoming and very local. The service, food and drinks all outstanding, we will definitely be back again this December. Wonderful dining experience, thank you!

You have the hotel listed but there is also a restaurant at this location which is a lovely experience open to people who are not staying at the hotel.
I came here with 15 other family members. We had lunch and then did a tour of the beautiful family owned and operated castle. The food was excellent! I had the local salad and Franconian Bridal soup! I highly recommend the local soup. Also tried the goose dish which was excellent. We also tried potato pancakes with applesauce. And had the vanilla ice cream with hot raspberries. Everything was amazing! And the staff was fantastic!!

We had dinner at this restaurant on the 2nd floor. The first floor was the brewery part, dining upstairs. The food was good, though I was a bit disappointed because my goulash was supposed to come with spaetzle but I got plain pasta instead. Good service.

Be sure to request a reservation that can be done through their website, as the cozy, historic restaurant has limited seating and it was full when we arrived at 6:00 PM on a Thursday. The wait staff was very friendly and seated us in the front room to the left (as you enter.) The menu has lots of choices for drinks, and I decided to try a glass, then two, of the ânew wine.â Our server suggested that we try an onion tart which went well with the slightly fruity wine. He explained the specials and my husband ordered one of those â chanterelles with brown gravy, dumplings and salad plus he requested that pork be added to the dish. I ordered the steak and vegetable skewers that also included salad, slaw, zucchini and warm gravy for the (medium well) meat that was served at the table. My entree was delicious and offered enough food for two people!

You have the hotel listed but not the restaurant - excellent restaurant
After days of heavy tasteless meat, leaden dumplings, and oceans of cream-based sauces, it turns out that our own hotel has the best meal of the week. My roast duck was amazing! Little fat, cooked to perfection, served with a lovely wine sauce, fresh broccoli and delicious potato pancakes. My husbandâs beef stew was tasty. The service and atmosphere were excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant!

This was our second visit to Entenback and hopefully won't be our last. We were served, as before, by the owner/manager who's English is excellent and he even understands our sense of humour. I had a dish translated as three various steaks. They were beef, veal and lamb. All were perfectly cooked and amongst the most tender pieces of meat I have ever had. The local white wine he recommended was also excellent

Truly a marvelous dining experience. We dinned in a beautiful garden. Tables are in small groups separated by shrubs. It was peaceful and quiet. The menu, as has been mentioned in another review, is limited, but excellent. We had the 3-course dinner with a seaweed salad, cream asparagus soup and beef fillet, plus a green salad and dove supreme. The beef fillet was very good, but the dove was scrumptious. The seaweed salad was tasty and the soup was delicious. The service was also top drawer, attentive, but unobtrusive. I can't help but notice that all the staff are female - quite unusual in both Germany and Austria. Definitely try this place if you are looking for a culinary experience.
