Reviews on Central American food in La Ceiba, Atlantida Department, Honduras. La Ceiba (Spanish pronunciation: [la ˈseiβa]) is a port city on the northern coast of Honduras in Central America. It is located on the southern edge of the Caribbean, forming part of the south eastern boundary of the Gulf of Honduras. With an estimated population of over 200,000 living in approximately 170 residential areas (called colonias or barrios), it is the third largest city in the country and the capital of the Honduran department of Atlántida. La Ceiba was officially founded on 23 August 1877. The city was named after a giant ceiba tree which grew near the old dock. The dock itself finally fell into the sea in late 2007. The city has been officially proclaimed the "Eco-Tourism Capital of Honduras" as well as the "Entertainment Capital of Honduras". Every year, on the third or fourth Saturday of May, the city holds its famous carnival to commemorate Isidore the Laborer (Spanish San Isidro Labrador). During this time, the city is host to approximately 500,000 tourists.

An amazing location on the Rio Cangrejal. Fantastic views of river and jungle waterfalls. Delicious meals and healthy drinks. Cocktails made to order and a great selection of local and foreign beers.Bring your kids to swim in our fabulous infinity pool. A
In the middel of the mountain, close to Puco Bonito, this truly is a Hidden Gem. It reflects de such good care owner and employees give to this place. They have an over the top view of the Rio Cangrejal, and you can enjoy it from the infinity pool. The place is unbeleivable. And they have a great bartender who serves the most amazing piñas coladas in the world. Prices are above average but you pay L300 for the entrance but it is open to consume it in the restaurant.
Lovely beachside Bistro/Bar. Whether you are looking for a beachfront bar or beachfront fine dining, you won't be disappointed at Chef Tery.
I can always count on a great meal, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere. While I love the lasagne, the fish is always tasty too. Start with a salad with his yummy dressing, maybe a lobster appetizer or calamari.
Fast Food restaurant that offers our customers high quality products, located on 3 important cities of the country
An easy walk from the mall or Uni Plaza, Nichas Burger is the closest thing to an American Burger joint you'll find in La Ceiba. The onion rings are fantastic and the burgers are pretty alright (they have a unique blend of spices in the meat you probably wouldn't find in the States). The fish and the chicken are pretty good, too, if the family requires a little variety.
As most tourist locations are, the prices are higher than need to be BUT that's in comparison to the same foods purchased elsewhere locally. The food is delicious and served buffet style. They do fill up your plate without a doubt and the air-conditioning almost makes it worth the extra few bucks for the meal.*I am a resident of La Ceiba, Honduras.

A small hotel on the Beach like a Bed and Breakfast
Our mission team of 11 ate a very late dinner here recdntly. Richard was totally accomodating. The food was good , sandwiches, pasta, fries, seafood, etc. The service was a bit slow because the power kept going out- no real worries. Prices were fair enough and he was very friendly and spent much time visiting with us. The beach location is the real draw for this place. Super.I hope is not late to say thank you,I just wanted you to know that we truly enjoy your stay with us and feel honored to be chosen La Delphina. thank you Richard
Most Popular Seafood food in La Ceiba, Atlantida Department, Honduras
This is a wonderful little spot just off the main road. The Cubano was excellent. Nice place for a romantic dinner (or lunch) if you can catch them while the kids are in school. Excellent service. Probably would've given this place a Very Good rating if it hadn't been for the nursery atmosphere (seemed like they may be running a daycare from the restaurant).

Great place for simple, hearty, filling local chow. Always packed with locals, islanders and other coastal folk! Great prices, fresh, filling local fare and great central location!

Actually had been looking for this restaurant, had been there years before and enjoyed it then. Small place just off of Avenita D'Antoni. No visible signage but definitely worth searching it out. Great value, good food, good service. I had the sweet and sour chicken, fantastic! My wife tried the crab ravioli in cream sauce, very good. Quiet place, always consistent and when they say everything on the menu is good, its true. We will be back in April again!
Where to eat International food in La Ceiba: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Susana quietly cooks up magic in her kitchen, making sure every dish is up to her standards. We had a generous helping from the salad bar (usually non existing in Honduras so particularly treasured), followed by entrees of pork chops and squid in a curry sauce. Delicious! Go there if in La Ceiba!

We loved the fish soup and the fried fish. The anafre was also good, Service is friendly and quick. Decor is OK, too bad for the ever-present TV screens everywhere, but this is just because I don't like watching TV while eating.
