The restaurant offers a very good combination of positive aspects: excellent-great value food, incredible service (fast and precise), a picturesque site and the beautiful natural location/surroundings that the Cervantes area has. All in all a great place to enjoy wonderful Costa Rican food and have a good time with the family at the restaurant or at the large patio it has.

Fresh delicious food with a wonderful view. Sit on the patio out back. Great for children. At times there are tons of hummingbirds in the area. Very reasonable as well.
The only reason I am not giving this place 5 stars is because the decoration is not something I was impressed with. The food was good, service was great; from the lady outside in the parking lot to the cashier, Everyone was very friendly and always smiling. If you like Costa Rican food, or would like to try it, this is a good place to go if you are in the area.

This hidden gem is very popular. Locals will travel a long way to eat here. The restaurant is set in a wonderful garden lovingly tended by the owner who knows and greets all his guests personally. His enthusiasm and customer care alone make this trip worth while. The trout is fresh from the restaurant's own water. It couldn't be more tasty: crisply fried but still juicy and soft on the inside. The side dishes are to die for. Try the fried plantain and fried yuka! This is definitely one not to miss. Highly recommended!

Food was good. People were family and tried hard to please. Tasty. Reasonably priced. The tables are these huge slabs of tree trunks (Guanacaste wood maybe?), each unique in size and shape.Service was quick. Family run places always have a better feel than chains/franchises, etc.

We ate dinner at this restaurant twice during our four day stay in the Orosi area. Pros:- well priced and tasty casados which made both the meat eaters and vegetarians in the family happy. I had the casado con lomo both nights (lomo is kind of a mini steakette) and it came with the standard rice, beans, salad, fried plantain plus something tasty that may have been a potato salad. There were more expensive dishes/cuts of meat on menu that we didn't try. The caramel flan for dessert was good too. The fresh juice smoothie was good too. - friendly and courteous service- kids menuCons:- street noise as it's outdoors and very close to street, bring bug repellant for evening, some may find the food a bit salty

Stopped here for lunch on the Mercury holidays 'Captivating Costa Rica' tour. Food is ok but the location is stunning! Most of our group eat the average quality food quickly so as to allow time to explore the various nature trails around a picturesque lake.Wild life we saw included copious humming birds, spiders, vultures, toucans etc.The flora is equally stunning......a real gem in every sense other than the food which was ok for quantity but bland in the extreme.

Arrived just in time before closing,, had a cold beer and the arroz de pollo, good but nothing to write home about. Service was good and polite like all the other places. Also had breakfast since I slept at the hotel beside. Like the dinner it was good but it was a simple free breakfast.
