I can always judge a steak place by how they do hamburger. My husband and I each had a hamburger. Size-wise they were big. But they were charred on the outside, and blood raw in the middle. We ordered medium well. It was if they cooked them from frozen on a too-hot stove. The decor is pleasant, but the service is slow and inattentive. We could NOT get our waiter back to return the hamburger for a bit more cooking. Nor could we get refills of drinks. After bringing our food, he just disappeared. We had to get up find him to get our check. I give the restaurant another try; maybe they were having a bad hair day or something.

PROVECHO!
Lunch time stopover on our tour across Costa Rica. The menu looked interesting if a little pricey although we discovered as we travelled around that prices are generally high. Whilst the cerviche I went for was good it was a bit of a suprise to find hot calamari placed on top. Meanwhile the fish fillet my wife ordered had to be sent back as it was still raw at the thick end so disappointing overall.

Had lunch here with friends who own another top rated restaurant in town. The restaurant is open air and stark, but clean and comfortable. Ordered coconut shrimp and fried calamari as appetizers. Both were excellent. All of our entrees were delicious and we'll prepared. Service was friendly and efficient. If you are looking for a place to mingle with the locals and have an excellent meal, give this restaurant a try.Hello! Move all the way here after reading about this place in Fodors and on TripAdvisor. Their website does not mention anything about being closed. But when we got here, it look like the place had been locked up tight for quite some time. Maybe they are closed and rainy season, I donât know. But at least put up some signage, at least put on your website, at least do something to let people know. We drove around trying to figure out if there was an alternate entrance we were just missing something, but nothing. Saludos,Sebastien

We had a mixed meat plate of grilled chicken and beef. It came with french fries and vegetables. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. There was enough on the plate for me and my husband, and enough to take home for another meal. The service was very good. I especially like the decor that gave me that "big city" feel like New York of Chicago. I felt transcended. The restaurant offers live music many nights and you should check to see when they do and join in.Dear Shirley,Greetings from Liberia Social! Went here yesterday..This little place is at the other end of Avellanas beach if you follow the road from the main entrance of Lolas..Its a typical CR style bar and restaurant just off the beach in a rancho style setting..The owner is very friendly and will happily sit at the bar with you and chat for hours! whilst petting yours (and her) dog Benji. The cerviche was excellent with tonnes of fish..The owner served us everything herself,The casado is typical with plantains, picadillo the lot..As locals we cant afford the prices of Lolas,so this was a great alternative. We will be back!

Es un lugar agradable ya que es abierto, se mantiene muy fresco y el servicio fue rápido. Nos gustó el espacio amplio para dejar los vehÃculos. HabÃa música de diferentes géneros. Posiblemente vamos a volver!

Delicious is an understatement! This place has the best food I had in all Guanacaste, including the Riu Guanacaste! We had the casados with steak (lomito) and it was incredibly tasty, soft and just amazing! It came with white rice, black beans and a salad! Can't go wrong with this one!!!Would love to come back next time we're in town!
