We have been coming to Alghero for 10 years and La Pergola is a lovely restaurant in a lovely location (by Maria Pia beach) with consistently very good food. We had the local specialty Paella. Our waiter Mattia needs a special mention for being so attentive. He also speaks very good English. Definitely a restaurant to visit in Alghero.

Came highly recommend but was a disappointment. The staff more interested in chatting amongst themselves rather than serve. The lightning too bright and felt more like cafeteria than restaurant the saving grace was good food but small portions

On a quiet side street, we found a tiny, atmospheric haven for our nightly repast : ristorante Alamo is a must visit for anyone seeking a place where the proprietors truly care about a perfect gastronomic experience.We were gifted a lovely prosecco like wine. Then proceeded to gorge ourselves on delicious seafood.Simply fabulous!Ciao Nina! So we came to check this place out. Lobster prices are 17â¬/100g (minimum is 500g). We decided not to have it so we choosed a mix of 6 starters and tuna tatare. The 6 starters mix were nothing special, the tuna tatare was good except that we fund a hair in it. For main we had âfreshâ pasta with frutti di mare (which came with parmesane on it already and was nothing special) and pasta with shrimps except there were no shrimps but the fake smaller version. Total was 85â¬. Wouldnât reccomend and wonât come again. Overpriced and really bad quality per money.Good evening,Is it a JOKE?I remember very well your reservation last night at 7:00 pm in the name of Rocco (quite rare for us in the summer) and I also recognized your wife's dress.1) if I find a hair on a plate in the restaurant I DO NOT eat it and tell the waiter, which you did NOT do.2) if such a thing should happen, the customer does NOT pay the pot at all.3) pasta with seafood in Italy is NOT prepared with cheese, maybe you have NOT read well the menu was flavored bread.4) shrimp in pasta are VERY fresh prawns caught in our sea and NOT from boxes of freezers.We would have liked his complaints to have been made at the time and not behind a computer.Enjoy your holiday and enjoy your meal !!!!Best RegardsGiovanna

One of those restaurants you are pleased you found, it is very easy to choose the ones with spectacular sea views, however the food and service here is far better.The food is excellent, simple, very well cooked and presented.
