Went here because it was one of the few places open on Sunday night and our BnB owner told us it was like having dinner made by your grand mother. Thatâs only true if your grandmother was a bad cook - mine wasnât (RIP Grams). Food was solidly mediocre and this place is clearly coasting on location and reputation. On the plus side, it was open on Sunday night (I know, I already said that), the servers were nice, and it wasnât too expensive. Overall though, Iâd skip it.

If you are near Girona during the week, please take an hour to go to this small restaurant where the Roca brothers were educated. The food is just AMAZING and the set menu price is just AWESOME for all you will eat and drink! THE place to GO!

I came to Girona for only one night while traveling alone, and was focused on getting Calçots while there. My accommodation host suggested L'Argada to me. I started with some wine, ordering what I thought was a glass of red for 9 Eur. which turned out to be the whole bottle! Good start. I had my Calçots with Romesco, absolutely delicious and plentiful. I added a local sausage and some small bites and all in all it was perfect for the evening. It's a homestyle place, friendly and casual but obviously experienced and good at what they do. If I were in Girona longer it would have been my go-to for good regional meals.

Arros i Peix és un innovador restaurant, una impressionant parada de peix i marisc fresc crida l'atenció des de fora i us convida a entrar, podreu mirar i triar el que us vingui més de gust, mentre us preneu una copa de cava. Per nosaltres el més importan
We got there as soon as it opened, which turned out to be a good move as the queue became quite long later. Loved the fact you could choose your seafood. We had the most amazing squid Iâve ever eaten, very fresh razor clams, paella ( without mussels as Iâm allergic). It wasnât cheap but we were in a big city and we thought it was good value for money. The only thing which let it down a bit were the staff, not especially friendly or welcoming.Thank you for your positive review! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your experience at Arros i Peix and we hope to see you again soon. Best wishes from all the staff!

We ate part of a large group, enjoying good service, an appetizer based on Russian salad with tuna, a lovely mountain paella and a good tarts with ic cream. Quite a walk from town, but a beautiful one, and a great destination

We've just arrived in Girona and were looking for a nice place to have lunch after our 3am start!! This restaurant was recommended by our apartment and what a fabulous recommendation. There was no English menu but the waitress was originally from England and talked us through the set lunch.I had a paella with noodles instead of rice and made with squid ink. It was so full of flavour. My main course was quite honestly one of the nicest things I've ever eaten...a beef cheek cooked to perfection with a puree and couscous. Desert was an almond cake with cheese and candied nuts. All this for â¬13.95 plus a large glass of wine.I would highly recommend this restaurant. I most definitely think we'll be back.

Great food & atmosphere - had the fig salad which was delicious & the mushroom main followed by almond tart with coffee ice cream - a really lovely meal. Enjoyed Finca Eapola wine which was strong and delightful! A great meal - staff lovely - mild & polite - booking essential as it is very small

This is a restaurant on the main road (Carretera de Barcelona). As such, you will think it is just another lunch place with nothing great to offer. However, once inside, you can see two thinks: First, the restaurant is full of working executives (at least on weekdays); and second, everybody is enjoying their food.Part of the group choose the daily menu (excellent), and another one went with dished a la cart. Any way, the food is excellent and the service great.I greatly recommend to make a reservation in advance if you do not want to wait a long time.

We have just returned to our apartment after spending the evening at this wonderful restaurant. We were greeted by the friendly and helpful maitre d who explained the menu and dishes and helped us choose from the menu. We were brought olives and mini sticks. We ordered the anchovies on mini toasts and veal cheek cannelloni to share. They were both beautiful. We scrapped to mop the veal sauce up with bread. At this point of the meal we knew it was going to be special. For our main course I had the baked cod and my partner had the pork. His pork was melt in the mouth and my cod was soft and delicate. Both were beautifully presented. We were unaware of the dessert menu but got brought it. I had the catalan mousse with red fruits and my partner had the baked cheesecake. I'm suprlsed I wasn't rolled out of there. It was without doubt, one of the best meals we have ever eaten. Everyone who visits Girona should visit this restaurant. We are returning to sample the lunch menu before we leave

It was from the beginning to the end that the quality was in my plate and service.Unique Tartar-Salmon,(armony between ingredients, presentation, intensity, elegance, etc), great Black Fideua with ali-oli on the top, (not heavy, just subtle and great tipicity with the dish), and lovely roasted pulpo with mash-potato... the pimenton and olive-oil were from top quality too!.I really needed a refreshing dessert, so mango-sorbet full of concentration and real mango aromas and flavours.Everything with a Cava Reserva. I think the Chef will be a Spanish star in this industry very soon. Amazing experience... keep an eye on this Restaurant!!!!.
