Reviews on Caribbean food in Panama City, Panama Province, Panama. A diverse multicultural city of almost 1.3 million, Panama City offers a lot more than an up-close view of the Canal. Shantytowns slink up alongside shiny high-rise condos. The Old City is an atmospheric labyrinth of churches, plazas and palaces. Fifteen miles from downtown Panama City, Soberania National Park is an excellent destination for hiking and birding. For a fascinating look at the canal, take a taxi or local bus to Miraflores Locks Visitor Center and look down on the traffic below.

Mi Ranchito Restaurant is the perfect environment to enjoy with family, friends and tourists; a familiar restaurant that offers a menu of varied Panamanian foods, with particular attention in preparing seafood at affordable prices to all visitors. Our styl
I returned to Panama for a family reunion after being gone for over 25 years. We toured a number of sites, including visiting the Fort Amador Causeway. While visiting, we decided to try out the food at Mi Ranchito. What an excellent decision. The outdoor setting was ideal, the service was timely and accurate, and the food was amazing.Because I grew up in Panama, I wanted to try some of the foods that I missed. I had the Fried Corvina Fish, Carimañiola, and Shrimp Ceviche. I am salivating thinking back at these delicious meals. If you are looking for authentic food and find yourself on the Causeway, stop in at Mi Ranchito. You will not regret your decision.

Most particular bar in the center of the city, great prices everyday, best Junk Food in Town, Breakfast and Lunch. Great Spot for Corporate Events and Private Parties. Indoor and Outdoor accomodation.
We stopped by this bar in the middle of a walking tour. It is very unique inside and the staff was extremely friendly. There were also regulars in the bar who said it gets very packed and active on the weekends. It's a great spot for people looking for a 'local' joint with a unique flavor.

El Caribbean is an authentic Caribbean and Costeñan restaurant. Our aim is to serve dishes like; Curry Goat, Oxtail with dumplings, fish run down, brown stew fish, shrimp or prawns in coconut sauce... And much more.
Visited El Caribe for lunch for four of us. Short wait, perfect service by all. Food was incredible, I had the Sopa de Mariscos with patacones (seafood soup with fried green plantain). I have had tried this soup many times, this was one of the best. We shared a bacalao frito appetizer, as good as I have ever had. The yucca moho was also shared and delicious. One of our party and mondongo another octopus. NO complaints by any one us, everyone bragged on their meal. I note a previous review noted someone had a hamburger.....why would you go tot this wonderful restaurant and order a hamburger?

At El Trapiche we specialize in Panamanian traditional cuisine since 1983. Our mission is to provide our guests with the best examples of our culinary traditions in a relaxed, casual atmosphere.
Somehow it seems this is one of the few places in town to serve authentic Panamanian cuisine.Heads up the place is not fancy or anything so be prepared to something a bit more rustic. However food and price quality ratio are the best in Panama.

I stopped by for a drink one evening and had a glass of wine (not rum) what a warm and wonderful and eclectic atmosphere. This is the kind of place that takes you back in time and where movies are shot wonderful, a must stop when in Casco.
