Very modest setup but truly traditional food, reasonable prices and lovely owner. If you can not find it ask anyone in the village! It has been around for over 50 years!

This is our third trip back to Ti Toques. Lovely lunch spot opposite yacht moorage along main waterfront road in La Marin. Would have enjoyed an updated menu (think it hasn't changed in a year) but the Marlin Tartare was excellent and the drinks tasty. The little hand made "frill" (grape on toothpick with a green branch made into a flower) is lovely and it always comes home with me. Wish I could take the St. James metal box the bill is served in...have asked if for sale...no. Awwww

Vastly overrated restaurant. Inattentive staff and very presumptuous manager. If you have a cheese allergy and you order a âmagret de canardâ burger without cheese then you expect it to be served that way. However, the âburgerâ was duly served with cheese, then served again with part of the cheese scraped off. Appalling attitude from both the kitchen and the waitress. Eventually the manager replaced the dish with one barely cooked. The ultimate comment from her was that I was a customer who would never be happy with their food. The notion that the customer is always right must be alien to them.Extremely expensive restaurant, appalling standards and awful attitude. How wicked of you!You came to lunch on January 1st, New Yearâs Eve, the restaurant is full, you make a confusion between a duck breast and a duck burger that you are served naturally with cheese. You tell us to be cheesy and weâll have a new burger without cheese. And six months later, you publish such a comment. You have nothing else to do in your life?

To be honest, getting there was more 'interesting' than the lunch. The winding drive up and up is not for the faint of heart and downright scary at times. It was found by a combination of google maps, perseverance and passing drivers. The owner is charming with no English and the elevated location offers good views especially to the east. Lunch is served from a deck so everyone has a view.

Recommended by a local, we are happy we were able to find this place (GPS couldn't locate it). Louise is a lovely lady, and a very good cook too! I loved her accras the best out of all restaurants we ate at in Martinique. I also had the boucané chicken (tasty and not too dry), which was served with plantains (delicious!!), what seemed to be steamed banana, rice, and beans. Then a coconut flan for dessert, which was also good. The location and decor of the restaurant is inviting and welcoming. If this place was closer to our hotel, I would have liked to visit more.
djembe, real homemade spice rhum! what else? be in the heart of a very popular site. Don Carlo is a must to hear real authentic locals having fun playing crasy rythm while you sip the real stuff. ask the bartender for his own spiced drink, but do not drive after, lolhave a great time but be safe

Nice traditional place direct on the beach with wooden chairs and tables, not 'traditional plastic'.Food is good and much less expensive as in neighboured fancy stores. 0,5 l local beer for 2,5 EUR! I tried chicken and shrimps and it was tasty.Friendly stuff.Enjoy the view of the beach!

The toucan is a friendly restaurant. While eating your meal, you will be rafraichi by sprays. Quality, kindness and speed of the service(department) are the priorities of this restaurant. And for any cheerfulness of your part, a small old rum will be offe
Situated right on Pointe Faula, about 2km outside Vauclin (take the stone road past the fish dock)..........Le Toucan is on the right. We received a friendly welcome, and enjoyed our chosen meal........(dorade and fried Camembert. ) Not fine dining, but tasty, well presented home cooked food. Recommended.

The "fresh grilled fish" was warmed up in the micro wave, the meat was smelling rotten. I honestly can't remember the last time someone served me food of that low quality.

We LOVED eating here - so much so that I broke my primary rule when traveling and I went back a 2nd time. The service was good, the English menu was accurately descriptive, and the food was simply fantastic. Be it the ribs, the duck breast, salad, or cheese plate, everything was superb. I've had meals that cost twice as much and are half as good at well-respected restaurants home in the USA. And as a traveler who prefers to eat vegetarian, I was ecstatic to have multiple meat-free options.Be warned - Google Maps will lead you astray. Get directions ahead of time and if you see cows you are going the wrong way!
