Reviews on Caribbean food in Gros Islet, Gros Islet Quarter, Caribbean. Gros Islet, on the northern tip of St. Lucia, is a blossoming destination, at once remote and exciting. The best way to explore the shoreline may be Island Riders, where riding veterans and beginners alike can trot along on horseback and chat with the locals. The Jump Up street party, perhaps the most recognized of the town's attractions, is also a must for a taste of Gros Islet's unique blend of food and music.

Relaxed International dining with warm Caribbean customer service! Amazing views over Rodney Bay with a lovely cool Breeze all day and night.
I hate reviewing restaurants because I grew up in a top rated restaurant and hotel environment so I tend to be very critical. Having said that, the food at Matthews was good, the restaurant very very clean, staff very well presented and nice (especially Lisa), the menu had a good variety and was very well priced. Highly recommended if your in Rodney Bay and fancy a meal. Hello StLucia-ws, thanks for this great review !Kind RegardsMatthew Chambers

Great menu, went for the super catch of the day. The red snapper, it was huge. Very well cooked with sweet potato mash grilled plantain and salad. The service was good overall, only negative was that the food took a long time to come. Will go again before I go home.

The Cliff at Cap Restaurant was famously hailed by The New York Times and is already one of the most highly sought after tables on the island. Located on the northwest coast in one of the Caribbean's most dramatic settings overlooking the surging Caribbea

Whatever you do, donât leave Buzz till your last night. Besides their à la carte menu they have nightly specials. Buzz has been operating for 12 years and Pat Bowden and Chef Marie who have worked together for 37 years have been successful in all their re
Meal for four with two long term island residents. Always have a drink at the bar as it is so cosy and the drinks are spot on. Barman a lovely guy.As we have been numerous times we always get offered (make sure you ask for it) the garlic cheesy bread. To die for. Forget the calories just go for it.Service very friendly and special.Food exceptional, the grilled tuna is out of this world. Did not have it this time, my wife did and was I jealous............until my ribs came out.Not sure if got a double helping or not but when the meat just started to fall off the bone i knew i was in food heaven.I left with the fattest, happiest stomach for a long time.Great night. Go there I know you will enjoy it.What a wonderful and thoughtful review! Roy the bartender was beaming ear to ear after reading your comments. We thank you for your continued patronage.Matthew and Marisa

Wingz -N- Tingz; Friendly service, great wingz, great seafood, reasonably priced. "Come in and taste the difference"
Great local food, they offer 15 types of wing flavours, you can choose your sides some of the options are chips, green fig salad, potato salad, side salad etc. Portions are massive we took food home! Service is a bit slow but what you expect in the Caribbean, Staff are lovely I highly recommend Wingz n Tingz.

The Naked Fisherman offers relaxed dining, that you would expect of a Caribbean thatched beach grill.
If you want a great location on the beach below Cap Estates Resturant, looking out to Martinique, the bar and grill offers an obvious choice. We were offered the taster menu ($US60/person) with a dominantly seafood slant of several courses including Ceviche of Caribbean Dorado, shrimp, mussels, an optional chicken satay, and a choice between beef tenderloin or dorado (Mahi Mahi). The dining was nouvelle cuisine sizes and the waitress was able to substitute the shellfish dishes for a salad and double portions of the meat dishes rather than a range of alternatives being made available. Desert was roast bananas & marshmallow, island rum caramel. The meal was pleasant enough but the price point for this resturant is well above equivalent fare on the island. Wine and and cocktails are expensive and add to the already large bill for 4. The menu changes each night so its worth trying the experience at least once. The costs did not match food.Dear Guest Thank you for the response we appreciate your review. as the menu states it is a Taster menu and it is a 6 Course offering, so in hindsight the portions are not going to be large, that would be wasteful. The concept is to try many different options over a relaxing evening. The beverage pricing is within the regular pricing you find on the island and saying it is above the island fare is a misconception as it depends on the products that the selected restaurants buy in and where they purchase it from which contributes to the final price which many people fail to take into consideration. From reading the review it seems the staff went out of the way to make your evening enjoyable as this style was clearly not what you had imagined or expected. Many Thanks

Jacques Waterfront Dining is one of St. Luciaâs most popular restaurants, with a long-standing reputation for consistency in both the quality of the food and the service with which it is delivered. We recently re-opened in a new and exciting waterfront lo
We ate here during our St Lucia holiday (early in the trip) but itâs been a week land I canât for the life of me remember the meal. I know we enjoyed it and found it worthwhile but I guess I had too much vacation. I have pictures of our evening and I know we thought about returning but clearly moved on to other things. It was fresh and delicious but perhaps forgettable? Not over the top but no disappointments or regrets.

We stopped in on this place without a reservation and had slightly underestimated how smart it was and my husband was a bit under-dressed though luckily it was quiet so it didnât matter. The food was great and pretty reasonably priced for what it was and compared to other local restaurants which are all very expensive. I had the pear, celery and goats cheese tart which was delicious followed by the duck (also delicious) and the chocolate trio (good but not more than that). Husband had the soup/martini, steak and cheese which was all also delicious. We did find it a bit odd that throughout ABBA songs were played on what sounded like a Casio keyboard! It was at total odds with the fine dining experience! We will probably go again as there are other dishes that we also wanted to try! Good day valued customerThank you for taking the time to write such a positive review of our CHIC restaurant. We certainly appreciate you taking the time to recommend our restaurant to other travelers. We are happy to know that your experience was a memorable one and certainly look foward to welcoming you again in the near future.Kind regards, Beverley AntoineSales and Marketing Manager

We unfortunately did not get to taste Liz's Roti as there was another Lady on the beach claiming to be her... But we did have cake and local juice from her which tasted amazing so I can only imagine what the Roti tastes like !

Food was very good, not quite excellent. Cocktails mediocre at best. View was also brilliant; archetypal caribbean. Service decent. The Bill was frankly eye watering however.
