Amazing little Caribbean joint, great tacos. Hands down the best mojito, I've ever had in my life. Great variety from spicy Mahi to seasoned brisket. Delicious beef patties and plantains. One of our favorite spots in NOLA, great little shopping area too. Thanks for much for coming to see us and leaving a review! We look forward to having you back next time your in town.

Ate here last night and really enjoyed the simple menu with some very tasty dishes. I had the shrimp to start which was piping hot and beautifully spiced, then the curried goat with cashews. So delicious. Prices are very reasonable and service was friendly and efficient. Great place to eat. Gets very busy so best to book.

We spent the afternoon walking Magazine Street and needed a break. Baru Bistro was never our destination, just happened to be along the way. We grabbed a table street side and ordered drinks and food. So glad we stopped. Though our Capirinhas were not traditional (pineapple is not a traditional ingredient), they were delicious. Their ceviche was not traditional either but was good in its own right. We all felt Baru Bistro was a great place to take a break from our travels.
