Find out what Caribbean restaurants to try in Belmopan. Smaller and more intimate than popular resort areas such as San Ignacio and Belize City, the modest capital of Belmopan is nonetheless a vibrant city surrounded by stunning scenery and wildlife. Next to the bustling Market Square, Independence Plaza is home to the prime minister's offices, various pedestrian pathways and the National Assembly Building, designed to resemble a Mayan temple. Outside the city lay the spectacular Guancaste Park as well as the astonishing Hummingbird Highway.
Things to do in Belmopan
I dined with my family of four at Arch seafood restaurant while staying at super palm for our week in Belmopan. Every meal for breakfast ,lunch and dinner we were served the most scrumptious cuisines, and the service was above and beyond. Travelling in Belize for the last month and a half; I must say Arch Seafood is one restaurant in Belize that the entire family willenjoy over and over again.
At the corner of Constitution Drive and South Ring Road there's a gas station. Behind that gas station on Ring Road is an auto mechanic shop. Almost hidden in that same building is "Surf & Turf Grill". An open air little place serving mostly local cuisine. Lunch was excellent, but their specialty is escabeche and my goddaughters have been getting it there for years. When I say "escabeche", I'm not talking about the Belizean onion soup that is so popular, but rather the spicy and delicious dip eaten with chips or whatever.
This dance club is the best in town and always has the most beautiful ladies too. If you want have a great time be sure to stop in and see this club with a real tropical theme.
A&R restaurant in the Belmopan market Square is the taste of Belize and everything Belizean. Our foods are marinated with Belizean spices, love and not to mention affordable.A&R restaurant will satisfy your every longing for a taste of Belize and Belizean
Food was delicious, I am really impress. Price is low, generally dont do low price, but a local recommended the place as the best in Belmopan. If you miss A and R Belizean food at the heart of the downtown Belmopan, you have not had a real Belizean sizzling marinated food. No need to worry about being over charged! They are friendly and have a clean place! Lot of natural juices like watermelon, orange juice and sour soup, a recommended cure for cancer.
On our way back from Punta Gorda with friends, we stopped here for lunch. It is off the Hummingbird Highway, but you would have to ask somebody how to find it. It is off a main street and then off a dirt road. The setting is very tranquil with a fountain out front and some very zen music playing. The restaurant is decorated with some Asian items, and other items from the area. One of our friends in our group used to bring her Dad here when he visited from Canada. She said it was his favourite place. The menu was quite varied, but we had wings - one order of spicy and one order of crispy which were both delicious. We also had craboo juice for the first time which was interesting - sweet and sour at the same time.If we could find it again without our friends to guide us, we would definitely go back and enjoy the tranquility of Oasis.

Amigo's Restaurant & Bar is one of the stopping points on the way to the Cayo district. It's located just off the western highway, and really it can't be missed; ok it can be but just turn back around. They have a typical Belizean menu and if you are lucky enough for the barbecue to be running then get a bbq chicken plate. Can't go wrong. Cold Beer. Nice Atmosphere. Good Food.

Very disappointed given the amount of positive ratings for the restaurant. Have to say the "Conch Fritters" were some of the best I've ever eaten. Unfortunately they were out of several dishes, even the daily specials were sold out. After being told they were out of 4 items that we were interested in on the menu, we finished our drinks and left. Wait staff was very slow, they should have told us what they "had" instead of us wasting time only to be told they were out. Drinks here are very high and low on alcohol. ............But try the Conch Fritters!

An open air patio style restaurant with surrounding gardens. In the geographic center of the country, close to the Belize Zoo, Ziplining, Cave Tubing, Canoeing, and Monkey Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. We do small groups or large. Ã la carte menu. We do buffets
Arrived in Belize City around noon and had planned to stop somewhere close to the airport but the woman at the rental car place recommended Cheers instead. It was at least 45 minutes to get there but it was right on the way to Belmopan/points further and we were glad we waited. Nice open-air restaurant serving traditional food. Lots of seating and quick service. Perfect stop to re-fuel on our way to the jungle. Good selections for kids and grown-ups.

Decked in exotic greenery, the dining room evokes the restaurant's surrounding jungle with amazing views to the mountains. It is situated on the second and third floor of Sleeping Giant's main building. The second deck hosts the Bamboo Room bar which serv
Food, service, value, setting, it was our number one place to dine in Belize, hands-down. Absolutely stunning views in every direction. Service that didnât hover but was there when you needed them, full of helpful suggestions when asked, interesting and interested. I canât imagine thereâs a bad table in the place but we were on the top floor patio and had a choice of the place, them keeping it open especially for us and our midday arrival. Highly recommend the soup with pulled pork added, the pulled pork sandwich with fried plantain, the jalapeño cocktail. Everything we ordered we would get again. Not crazy expensive either.
