4 of us came here for breakfast. 2 of us ordered steak and eggs with the steak medium. Both steaks came well done. Toast was drenched in butter (or margarine?). Waitress gave me incorrect drink (i ordered a water, she came back with coffee). The food was just ok at best... the only really positive thing I can say is that the bacon was well cooked. Waitress also overcharged me on my bill. She corrected it when I showed her, but if you eat here make sure you check your bill. Would not go back.

Fantastic dough, great oven, friendly service, licenced, very good tsaziki and a good Greek style pie

I visit the schoolhouse brewery quite often, as I work in Windsor and they have an excellent lunch menu. During the summer my favorite dish was the Asian Peanut Salad (served cold) and various cheese grilled cheese. They also make a home brewed lemon ginger soda that is super refreshing on a hot day!Very neat school-ish atmosphere complete with texts, globes and chalkboards, and attentive and friendly staff. I highly recommend this restaurant!Ps- their beer is good too, and cleverly named ârecess Pilsner, principal ale etcâ

Four-star dining this is not. But it's a perfectly nice place for reasonably priced meals and friendly service, with plenty of off-street parking. The moderately sized filet of haddock is fresh, with a well-seasoned, grease-free batter. The burger, though on the dry side, was good sized and came with a nice helping of greens, sliced tomatoes and sliced pickles. We appreciated the ability to get something other than fries as a side and both of us selected a baked potato. I didn't give much thought when the waitress said there would be a slight upcharge for sour cream, but the $1.50 extra for a tiny serving â on a $10 lunch plate â was unexpected.Bottom line: three stars on our meals, or about what we expected. Windsor doesn't offer a wide choice in dining and you'll be just fine if you pick this place.

Italian Restaurant, Pizza
We were planning on eating at another restaurant in Windsor but it was very busy, so we decided to go to this place next door as a back up plan. The place is in a popular area of the town with free parking scattered in the area. The place has very little curb appeal and does not come across as a must restaurant. The menu is limited, which is often a good sign and the seating is basic cafeteria style. The service was very good and well informed of the menu. The food was average at best with little taste and the beer selection was 90% local brew which does nothing for me.The prices were fair and the portions were fair. All in all, it was an OK experience and I would eat there again.

It is an old house which has been converted into an inn. There is a ramp from the parking lot and the washroom is accessible. The service was attentive and excellent. A bit expensive for the area but good food. Lovely setting and well done- would go again for a treat. Would be expensive for a family.

Comfortable friendly diner in Beautiful downtown Windsor. Home style cooking and the best seafood this side of Heaven!
Their homemade mushroom soup is fantastic. The fried chicken is crispy without being greasy. The liver with onions were cooked to perfection. Limited seating and can be very busy at noon and around supper time. Expect to have to wait for a table any day of the week. Service can be slow as well. Coconut cream pie and the Bread pudding were very good.

We've been going to the Spitfire for years, and always enjoyed the experience, even when they had to temporarily relocate due to a fire some years back. We hadn't been there for quite a while, and yesterday decided to go there for lunch. As always, the wait staff was friendly and efficient. The rest, not so much. We ordered soft drinks which we both agreed were watery. The liver, in my husband's liver and onions consisted of one very thin slice that was overcooked; and undercooked broccoli. Carrots were fine. Mashed potatoes OK. My Reuben was dry, not juicy, and the fries were under par. And the bill was $38. We're sad to see how a well-loved local pub is going through a mediocre period. We'll try it again, but not too soon.
