Don't like having to stay here, but forced to at times due to the better downtown hotels being full. The rooms are extremely dated, which is no big deal to me if their clean. This place is not. The bed coverlet smells. Obviously hasn't been washed in a long time. I see there is some pretty good reviews here on the food, I'd beg to differ. I just had the French Onion Soup, left it on the table. Cold, clammy. I notice folks like the breakfast shreddies. Again, I'd differ. Unless they've changed, they taste like their spoiled. I've told the waitresses over the years, doesn't do any good. Kind of funny, Kids tell the truth, right? I heard one young fella pipe up to his mom that the potatoes tasted funny. I just smirked. Problem is, if you stay here, your trapped. no other amenities within walking distance. Don't stay here unless you have to.

This is a pub and restaurant with a second smaller bar upstairs. The entrance into the restaurant is confusing and the lighting is poor. We finished up at the Sheep Loft for a drink and a snack. The décor is very simple and minimalist. The drinks were good but overpriced, and the snacks were very pricey.

A group of ten of us reserved a table for dinner on a Saturday night and the place was virtually empty when we arrived. However the place filled up quickly and we ordered a variety of plates with meats and seafood with unique sauces and preparations. They have pizza, pasta, Asian, Italian, you name it. Some unusual combinations, too. Alcoholic drinks are also available. Itâs a good place for a large group of people because the tables arenât too close together. The staff were friendly and helpful, too.

This is for US travelers, because Canadians already know the delight of a donair, and Big Bear makes a good one! The sandwich seems to be cousins to a shawarma sandwich, although they can make it with beef, lamb, chicken and all manner of ingredients. Anyway, the people in Big Bear are friendly and will help you construct your very own delicious sandwich. You can get another burger any time, try something different!

Drove to Whitehorse from Skagway to celebrate my birthday. Our usual haunt (yes, weâve done this drive 4 times) had closed their kitchen for a couple hours, which happened to be when we were there... They recommended the Dirty Northern. Nice of them, but might have been a mistake. We really liked the Dirty Northern!Four of us had various food and drinks. My beautiful Wife had dry rubbed ribs, and I had a cheeseburger. Good grub. Very fair prices. Excellent atmosphere, both inside and outside! Service was a little on the surly side, else I would have given 5 stars.

We just happened by the cafe. Parking was a bit of a deal with 4 motorcycles but we all survived it! The food was great!! We had their special which was an elk burger or something like that, it was fantastic!!! The service was great!!! Very eclectic environment and even a group of bikers didn't turn heads!

We loved it. There was a good atmosphere - it was busy, staff were nice, trendy decor and great lampshades! Most importantly though the food was fantastic. The first night I had local elk and cranberry sausages in a tomato based sauce with pitta bread - stunning. We spied other tables eating yummy looking deep pan pizzas and so we went in the next night to try those. Best pizza weâve had for a very long time!Thank you so much for your amazing, detailed and thoughtful review! Glad you enjoyed the lampshades! We actually got them from the United Kingdom! A new twist on the basic oil candle lighting and they are LED. Energy saving for sure! So glad you tried us twice ! Our pizza is a staple so happy to hear we met your expectations! Hope to see you again!

Whitehorse always surprises me with the range of different eating options available in what is actually not that large a city/town. Antoinette's is one of those places that you (or I, at least) wouldn't expect to find just lying around, and I quite enjoyed my dinner there. The staff is attentive and energetic, and excited by both the food and the place they work. The special of the day (a spicy lamb kebab) was as good as they claimed, well cooked and tender, with enough heat to bring you back to the Caribbean. The sound in the dining room bounces around a bit off the hard walls and ceiling, but the atmosphere was upbeat and relaxed. a few items were a bit pricey (salads, mostly), but the food was generally worth what you were paying, I felt.I'd definitely return next time I'm in townThank you for taking the time to share your experience. We do what we can to offer nice food at a good value and stay in business ... unfortunately, we don't have the same food distributor options as Southern Canadian Cities, and most local produce is much more expensive than the grocery stores. Until soon!

Klondike Rib & Salmon Barbecue invites you to their establishment. Explore a menu featuring barbecue and a bar-b-q and grilling menu, priced at less than $10. They are open nightly all week. You can get there not only by public transit but also by car. Th
We had the ribs and maple salmon, and the halibut with brie. The Ribs were juicy, fall-off-the-bone ribs, and the salmon was deliciously sweet, almost like candy. The brie cheese on the halibut went great with the fish. Service was quick, although there was about a 20 min wait to get in the restaurant. They close for the season on Sep 20, 2019.
