My wife and I managed to get away to Vancouver this past weekend as I was speaking at a conference. We looked for a restaurant within walking distance of the conference venue where we were also staying, and when I came across Market at the top of Vancouver's restaurants on Trip Advisor, I decided to make a reservation. My wife and I have eaten at Jean Georges on Central Park West and hoped for a similar experience (though its REALLY HARD to beat that New York experience). The restaurant was stylishly done, dark but comfortable. The energy in the restaurant was subdued, but busy for a 7:30 reservation on a Saturday night. The host, our server and the waitstaff were all incredibly polite and helpful. Our view down Thurlow was nice as well! For appetizers, I had the tuna tartare and my wife had the mushroom soup. Both were incredibly delicious. For our mains, I had a wagyu beef sirloin with seasonal vegetables and my wife had the risotto. Both were amazing, but my seasonal root vegetables were a bit on the firm and dry side. For dessert, my wife had the lava cake and I had a selection of gelatos. Our final bill for the evening was surprisingly reasonable for Vancouver's top rated TA restaurant. I've paid more for meals in Vancouver before our Market experience, and I did enjoy our meal experience greatly. I will hopefully enjoy dining here again in the future!Dear YYC_JustinC,We greatly appreciate the time and effort taken to share this review. I am thrilled you enjoyed your dining experience at Market by Jean-Georges, Vancouver. Your kind words about our staff leave me with the most pride, as they are the true gem of our property. I am pleased you enjoyed your delicious seasonal and local dishes. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!Kind regards,Mitchell Kerr, Restaurant Manager

Needing to wait a couple of hours for our Horseshoe Bay ferry sailing, we looked around for a nice spot for dinner and noticed C-Lovers restaurant patio. We ordered the Ultimate Platter, very tasty and generous for two. Service was pleasant and quicker than at a similar well-known restaurant nearby.

Cactus Club has figured out the magic formula. Theyâve mastered a fine line between comfort food & good quality food. Theyâve masterfully brought together a fun environment, great staff and wonderful food. You can enjoy lunch with your girlfriends friends, a dinner with 12 of your family members or a meal with children. The most important thing I feel is the consistency. And this consistently isnât limited to just one location. Most of the cactus club locations have the same high level of service and food quality. The West Vancouver location is our all time family favorite. We eat there once a week. I could get the same meal every time, and it would be the exact same great quality each time. That to me is an amazing accomplishment. Yes, there are the rare hiccups, but itâs handled extremely well by the staff and management. They have recently ( Thank heavens ) added an online reservation option. Iâm soooooo glad! We booked a couple days ahead and it was great. I do have to mention our server today who was absolutely on top of it. We had 4 kids with us, Saturday night, busy packed restaurant at dinner time. Nikki was able to handle the table very well. We were also in a rush to catch a movie and she was able to process the orders quickly. Amazing as alwaysHi Tooka, Thank you so much for your kind words! We are very happy to see you frequently, and even more overjoyed that you consider us a favorite. We take a lot of pride in our consistency and product altogether; we're always here to provide that excellent experience. Niki has gotten word of your positive feedback as well, thanks again!

It was our first night in North Vancouver. We went looking for Whole Foods, but we decided to grab a bite to eat before shopping. The Taphouse caught our eyes, because it was in a building shaped like a lighthouse. We had the âCalamariâ appetizer. It was crunchy and spicy. The flavor reminded us of âsalt and pepper shrimp.â It was delicious. My husband had the âSierra Saladâ and I had the âBaja Fish Tacos.â The Sierra Salad had lemon herb chicken breast, avocado, organic greens, shaved fennel, radishes, Galla apples, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, Feta cheese, and apple cider vinaigrette. It was light, tasty, and delicious! The Baja Tacos came with three tacos. Beer-battered cod, with fire roasted salsa, Chipotle Aioli, cabbage, and pickled red onions served on flour tortillas. Everything was delicious; except the tortillas. It was a bit hard. Our Server was friendly. The overall service was good. Unlike their American counterparts, there was good spacing between the appetizer and the entrees. Two thumbs up for the food & service!Good Evening, So glad to hear you had such a great experience with us and enjoy your meal! We take great pride in providing the best food and service on the North Shore. Would love to see you back in again next time you are in town. Sarah.BManager

We decided to book up for a really special Christmas lunch out, and as weâd heard some good things about the Beachhouse in West Vancouver, the Beachhouse it was. There were just the two of us, and Iâm sure we were ushered over to the best table in the house! The view of the water and the promenade was breathtaking! The menu was not pretentious and there was not a huge selection, but what we were offered was chosen with care, and we had a really memorable lunch on a gusty, cold and sunny Christmas Day. Hello thank you so much for the kind words! We strive to always create the best experiences possible for our guests. I am really happy to hear you enjoyed yourself and look forward to seeing you soon.

A proper lunch in a proper setting can brighten even the most dreary afternoon. Vancouver BC supplied the chilly and wet weather. The Teahouse in Stanley Park made all of us forget about it. Inside, a soup with a salad proved the perfect antidote to Mother Natureâs inclement escapades outside. My friends and I added a nice, light white wine to our meal to help keep our insides warm. Also, they actually have a gazebo where you can dine, have tea and dream of nicer weather.

Wanted a place for a last meal with visiting family that was not to fussy and not too casual. Also wanted a place near Horseshoe Bay, not because of the ferry, but because the Bay is such a special place itself. This restaurant performed perfectly. We did not need a reservation on a Wednesday night but there were enough people there to create a bit of a buzz. The food was better than average. 3 of the 4 had the halibut fish and chips and they were exceptional - for my money, the best in the Bay hands down. One person had the mussels which were disappointing in size and presentation - the restaurant needs to update their thinking about mussels in my view - the flavours were a bit tired and no one wants a giant chunk of greasy garlic bread anymore. Time to freshen this one up. But, overall it was perfect and a good time had by all.

EVERY NEIGHBORHOOD NEEDS A TRATTORIA! Located at Park Royal South, this is a home-cooking hang out. Our ingredients are simple and fresh â just what Italian food should be.
A family birthday party was celebrated on the beautiful upstairs covered patio of Trattoria Park Royal. It was a lovely summer evening and the setting couldn't have been nicer. Staff were pleasant and helpful, accommodating us at a long table and aiding us with our special decorations and requests ... flowers, balloons, etc. They couldn't have been more thoughtful. A 3-course meal was pre-selected. We started with wonderful anti-pasto platters, followed by a pasta assortment, ending with platters of meat, fish and seafood. The table was laden with delicious dishes, and were enjoyed by all. I'll return to this beautiful second floor patio for more delicious Italian fare.
