We were attracted to this place a few days earlier due to the large crowd gathered there, so thought we'd try it. Ordered the fish and chips to the tune of $19 and were sorely disappointed. The tartar sauce wasn't even recognizable and coleslaw just the same. Fish was cold and tasted "funny". Had to walk out and try another place. Don't go

Authentic poutine in the heart of Sun Peaks! Featuring several types of poutine in a family friendly environment. Chicken fingers, grilled burgers, hot dogs & smokies and a fantastic selection of ice cream round out the menu. Indoor and outdoor seating. V
I'm notusually the biggest fan of 'quick service' and takeway cafes but if they're serving poutine, well, all bets are off!Went here with friends whilst on our skiing hols and they had chilli dogs but we had the Canandian gourmet version of that Canadian staple - poutine.Great tasting food, served quickly, friendly chef. No coffee, just cold drinks but the food was so good it didn't really matter.

I was with a group of 15 friends on our annual ski trip. We had our last supper at the steakhouse. Good food and a cozy atmosphere. It was a busy Saturday night but the host gave us 2 hours to ensure we had enough time to enjoy our meal and socialize. Once again the staff were great looking after us as a larger group.

Located in the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel's lower lobby, Sun Peaks most popular restaurant, Mantles offers a "family friendly" all-day dining experience. The restaurant offers a comfortable ambiance and provides guests with a broad spectrum of menu offerings t
With my parents visiting from overseas, we had a 1 night stopover in Sun Peaks. My parents decided to grab a beer each, whilst they waited for my partner and I to arrive downstairs. When arriving at the restaurant, my Dad had just asked for the bill. Having been involved within the hospitality industry for many years, and not to mention, living in Canada for 4, I understand the gratuity complex. My parents, though new, were well aware of what was expected (Even if it was not always earnt). The server had placed the bill on the table, and as walking off, she notifies us that she has included the max gratuity as she can see that we were from out of town (Funnily enough, she was not local). This was unacceptable, and for 2 beers, not necessary. After this comment, my Dad left no tip, and we cancelled our dinner plans there for the evening. Needless to say, we will not return, nor recommend this bar to anyone. I understand, and have experienced it first hand when someone that is not familiar with tipping culture does not tip. Maybe the server should stop thinking about the tip she expects, and start working hard to earn it.

Had the schnitzel with mushroom sauce, some kinda funky potato swirly things and re cabbage. Best schnitzel I have had in a long time. Huge piece of meat, cold beer. Fast service great music (Steely Dan, CSNY kinda stuff) Friendly and gracious owner. Much enjoyed will return. Very fairly priced for a resort area.

Morrisey's offers Sun Peaks an intimate pub, where the village comes together to meet new and old friends. Relax and enjoy one of the many draught selections or challenge your friends to a game of darts. Open mid-afternoon in summers and winters with ever
The food is more-or-less pub-style and "average" and there is an excellent selection of beverages (disclosure: Am not much of a pub-food person to begin with).Big drawing card is the outdoors patio with "fire pit". Great for "people-watching" but that night was also the retro music festival, with a band playing right in front of the patio - great evening / night.Service from Alex (?) was excellent, friendly and cheerful :)BerndWilliams Lake, BC

Traditional Canadian cuisine.
What we were told was a traditional Québécois restaurant simply wasnât! All right, the interior is funky with a number of pieces that can be associated to the early fur trade in Canada. We ordered bannock as an appetizer. What we got was fried bread from who knows where! Bannock is traditionally made with floor, baking powder and water. Itâs mixed, shaped and fried in a greased skillet. This was simply chunks of commercial bread dough that had been deep fried. Poutine is a classic ... potato fries, cheese curds and flavourful gravy are the classic format. A potato and yam fry combo, a small amount of cheese curds (it should be smothered) and tasteless gravy equals ugly and not worth eating. âTortiereâ is a favourite dish of mine. This traditional meat pie from Quebec is often served with a rich beef gravy. While I chose to turn down the sides, mine was served on a plate without the slightest bit of colour and âsansâ gravy. My friend Rickâs toriere puts this one to shame. It wasnât worth finishing. Our server had a very nice personality but was about four beats behind all evening and no, it wasnât busy at all! This place is on my list as ânever visit again as in ever againâ!

I nice little alcove of a place (mid - plaza) that's open when everything else shuts down.Inviting and not presumptuous ... while recognizing they're serious about their product. High tables for 8 inside ... but great people watching seats outside at the rail. Not unusual to see a Mountain High pie box in one of the late night bars (once the bar kitchen is closed). Enjoy and tell them 'Rumplestiltskin' sent you.
