Sarnia is a city in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, and had a 2016 population of 71,594. It is the largest city on Lake Huron and in Lambton County. Sarnia is located on the eastern bank of the junction between the Upper and Lower Great Lakes where Lake Huron flows into the St. Clair River, which forms the Canada–United States border, directly across from Port Huron, Michigan. The city's natural harbour first attracted the French explorer La Salle, who named the site "The Rapids" when he had horses and men pull his 45 tonnes (50 short tons; 44 long tons) barque "Le Griffon" up the almost four-knot current of the St. Clair River on 23 August 1679.

Nothing fancy inside or outside. However, the food is fantastic! The baked bread was something that would come out of a 5 Diamond restaurant kitchen. Burgers are delicious. Hopefully they win best burger in Sarnia. First time I have ever dined in Sarnia, if ever in the area, would return for sure. The local who recommended it was spot on. I was cursing them when I walked into the place. That changed when the app arrived! LOL

A Sarnia Lambton tradition for over 50 years. With seating for over 200 people, John's is the go-to for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner, teams, corporate meetings and so much more.
Recommended by the locals, this is a fine place for breakfast. Big variety, well prepared, reasonable pricing -- what more can you ask?

Went Sunday morning on Tall Ships weekend. Line up when we got there st 1030 but moved fast. Great seats outside to watch the boaters taking off for a day on the lake. Great traditional breakfast and some fancies as well aka specialty waffles and pancakes and of course there own version of a Benny.Despite the lineups all weekend the servers could not have been any sweeter. Great place to watch the boats and all the baby ducks.

I would like to start off by saying the service was amazing. Our waiter was excellent and extremely friendly and attentive. Got a special, it was the surf and turf (for $47 I believe) and the steak was totally raw. The lobster was over cooked. Sent the steak back to be cooked longer and the plate came back with no sides (veg). Food was disappointing. For the price it was upsetting and I was completely put off from eating the rest after finding the blue/purple raw steak. I really was looking forward to a great steak so that was the biggest let down.

I had breakfast here yesterday and was treated to a wonderful experience. The staff went above and beyond to make me, and my service dog Vitus comfortable. The food was delicious and the portions ample. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Next to the pier, if you face the right way its a great view. Face the otherway and its a factory, but thats part of Sarnia charm.I ordered the clam chowder and I found it surprisingly good. The service was on point and efficient. Great place for a lunch.Hey Andrew, thank you so much for taking the time to come and dine with us as well as to leave us a review. We celebrated my birthday as well as son & daughter in laws anniversary over dinner. The service was initially sketchy as place was full + only 2 servers on but improved as the crowd thinned. The booths are small so a tight fit for 4 -- tables are roomier. We have eaten here several times and never disappointed and this last meal was no exception. The pork special was very tasty, the two steak dinners perfectly cooked and the rack of lamb has a nicely matched maple syrup sauce. No downside and recommend Lola's as one of the best places in town.
