We almost walked out after waiting quite a while to get a table in an almost empty place but were hungry so we stayed. Mistake. One server on & she directed us to a dirty table even tho there were many clean ones. I asked for a clean one. Granted. Took order mine being 2 soft poached eggs with dry toast. It came after 35 mins, cooked hard, not even medium, & no toast but she said it was coming. My eggs were getting cold so I walked to the kitchen & they said, "oh yeah, it's coming". It never did. Ketchup was in Heinz bottle but was NOT Heinz. Very very poor service. Floor filthy. Would never stop here again. We go through Nanton about 6 times a year but suggest you stop in Claresholm instead. No apologies given when we complained. Just advised that they had had a busy lunch hour. It was 1:15 when we arrived. Also too expensive. $14.95 for a salad!
Quaint little restaurant with good selection and home cooked food. Youâll feel like Gramama invited you into her kitchen to cook you a solid home cooked meal. She has nice options, seasonal options too. The sandwiches are yummy and come with chips and coleslaw - the perfect amount of food for a light lunch. Itâs nice and clean and itâs clear the owner has a passion for feeding hungry souls. Easy to find in Nantonâs downtown across from the miniature museum and reasonably priced.

We stopped at subway for lunch yesterday. The portions of meat that they put on the sandwiches is VERY generous. We will definitely stop there again.

Beijing Restaurant has been serving Nanton and surrounding area since 1989. We are sure to have something for everyone. Beijing Restaurant uses quality ingredients and every dish is MSG free. Enjoy an All You Can Eat Buffet or to dine A La Carte.
We went here for lunch. We found the food to be dried from sitting, some food trays empty offering poor selection. The waitress was not attentive as she was "busy" visiting with a gentleman friend at the other end of the room. Definitely not worth the $23 paid.

We were tired of the Bejiing as they started cheaping out on the desserts and serving the same old thing all the time. So we went to Ken's tonight All 3 of us were disappointed in the food. The sweet and sour sauce was crazy sweet and the vegetables had basically no flavor. The chicken balls were hard as were the spring rolls. Very doughy potstickers but again everything was tasteless. The chicken wings were flavourfull but still red in the middle. Very slow service and lukewarm water. End result? Not going back.

Stuthornes (rhymes with Blue Corns) is a cozy lunch place just off southbound Hwy 2 in Nanton, Alberta. Our specialties are homemade soups, chili, and pie, as well as wraps and other baked goods. Please give us two daysâ notice when pre-ordering baked goo
Although small in size, this is a quaint little spot that was bustling over the noon hour. Having stopped for coffee here one other time, we made a point of stopping again last weekend as we passed through town. What friendly service! The coffee was good, even though we were surprised that it was served in a tea cup. I would have loved a bowl of soup or some pie, but we were just early enough in the morning that I thought better of it. Perhaps next time! By the time we were actually leaving the place had filled up with the noon crowd and everyone seemed very happy. So glad you enjoyed your visit! Thanks for taking the time to write a review, and come back soon!

We stopped at this place on our road trip to Banff NP and were extremely happy with our meals. The burgers were really good, fries were amazing and fresh, and the poutine was DELICIOUS. Very low prices for the quality and quantity of food. Highly recommend stopping by this place for a meal.

About 16km south of Nanton, this place was recommended to us. It was full of locals enjoying the hearty and very good quality food - at great prices! Silver Slate was an unexpected highlight of our road trip around AB and BC.
