In Minden, hungry for breakfast, 2 of us ate, VERY shortly after eating, started parading to the washrooms. Fortunately, we were both not the same gender.1 star for the coffee.. Thank you for the review mamasboy. 1st question i have is did you and your lady friend both eat the exact same meal? And 2nd thing i want to point out is that when you reviewed the restaurant you stated that you were glad you were both of different genders. Did you know that it takes longer than 5-20 min for food to digest?I am sorry you were both ill however i suggest you look at your dinner the previous night or a stomach virus the next time you want to give a place a bad review. Thank you for the star for the coffee because it really is amazing.

I'll keep it short. We visited at lunch time on a long weekend. Only on staff member working both the cash register and kitchen. 4 people ahead of us in line. I'm guessing it would have been an hour by the time we got our food. Sadly, we left. But shocked to fine only one person staffing the store. Once again; a long weekend - one staff member - lunchtime.

Trip advisor needs an update.Food is terrible.Overpriced.And has been for years.None of your main dishes come with a side.Just a burger came to 20 dollars with tax . (18+tax)Drinks are over priced as well.Donât waist your time.Sorry you had a negative experience. We try to offer a fairly priced, healthy menu.Our Burgers are $14 and include fries, soup or salad. Our burgers are made of premium ground chuck steak and we serve them on a specialty brioche bun.All of our mains have a side included. Here is a page from our menu that has our burgers. We've driven past Mark's many times on our way to the cottage over the years, and finally on a rainy Friday night found ourselves with no desire to cook dinner on arrival ... and so popped into Mark's with hopeful appetites. Was not disappointed! Hot & Sour soup was tasty and tangy, just the way we like it ... Singapore Noodles were nicely curried ... and the General Tao's chicken was perfect and spicy! Service was fast and friendly, and we put a take-out menu in our glove compartment, to facilitate fast on-the-road ordering on a future trip. Will definitely eat here again!

Location adjacent to the Gull River, two small patios with one table each have been constructed out over the river. Baby spinach salad with crisp apple, orange, raspberry, almond, blue cheese, mandarin orange/kiwi vinaigrette dressing. El Ninno burger with guacamole, spicy jalapeno javarti cheese, tomato, onion, lettice. Good choices.

Nice quiet little diner. Right off the highway. Wasn't as busy as we expected, but guess it's because was the Canada Day weekend.Friendly server, clean and comfortable restaurant. Our meals were adjusted from what was on the exact menu and the chef had no problem accommodating.If we are ever in the Minden area again, we would definitely come back! Would love to try their breakfast menu sometime. Looks delicious.

Highly recommended for breakfast Mollyâs restaurant and bakery is a special and welcoming place in Minden. It is the kind of homey restaurant you expect and hope to find in a small community.They serve breakfast and lunch. The menu is very extensive and for breakfast offers many variations of egg dishes. The portions are generous and the coffee very good. Of course all the many baked goods prepared on the premises are available to take home. Hard to resist. Why should you?

Every year, we come to the Pepper Mill for a good meal. This time, we shared the escargots - it was wonderful and very cheesy. I ordered the steak with shrimp and scallops which was delicious and well-cooked. My friend had the scallop and shrimp plate which she so enjoyed. We were so full as we were given a lovely salad as well. We took rhubarb strawberry pie home. It was delicious. The service was efficient and friendly.

My wife and I make a point of visiting Wintergreen whenever weâre at our cottage near Minden. Today we took part in the Cottage Social by enjoying their delicious Blueberry Crepe with tasty maple syrop, recently made on-site. After eating, we went upstairs to see the amazing trove of unique, one of a kind collectibles put together over the years by one of the owners. See my photos below of these, as well as of the fabulous structures and unusual items on the grounds behind the main building. Going off the beaten path to experience Wintergreen for yourself is highly recommended.
