St-Hubert here in Matane is a good option, especially for those without a good grasp of French. You can order delivery or takeout on their website which is available in both English and French. The service is nice and quick and the food is what you can find at any St-Hubert throughout Quebec, New Brunswick or Eastern Ontario

A handy stop off for morning coffee, catch up with the emails on wifi and chill with the newspapers. Apparently this branch was best in Canada. Don't usually like these places and my daughter is hooked on Tim's but it's more than acceptableand the staff are friendly too.

This is a good fast food that makes many many kinds of poutine. The ingredients are fresh and the service is fast.Chef Fred has been making good for a long time. This restaurant is his own and it refects his talent and love for the food. The place is little hard to find.Thank you for your comment and i hope to see you again.

Unfortunately, even if the mall is oceanfront, the restaurant has no view, no nice decor, oldish chairs, tables. I asked for he house specialty and was... well... very disappointed... Nothing to yell about.. Very expensive for what it offered at the end... And somebody told me it was good there...

With a few hours to kill before getting the ferry and a raging hunger, we drove around town before finding this little nugget.Funky little place, interesting decor soon gave way to excellent coffee and breakfasts that hit the spot.In reality, its probably four stars not five, but I went for the 'excellent' because of the staff. An old local man came in on his own and the staff were just so nice and welcoming to him, you could not help but be impressed with their friendliness. We're all goin to get old sometime and maybe lonely with it, let's hope we have some decent people to go to!Bravo, well done this place.

We were there at 6:00 PM Friday night and lots of seating still available though parking was already a challenge. They had a nice buffet available...a mix of chinese, seafood, pizza and even more odds and ends. Quite nice. Obviously a locals meeting place and friendly to all. Quick service, good food.

Cargo is: a wink to the industrial and maritime heritage of the city of Matane. A stunning view of the St-lawrence river creating a soothing ambience to enjoy a meal or a drink. A decor made of wood, steel, raw materials and a warm atmosphere. A casual re
We stayed at the Riotel Hotel and dined at Cargo on our first night there. A stunning sunset accompanied our wonderful meal under the heat lamps as it was a little chilly outdoors but they were well-prepared. The filet mignon and shrimp from Matane were very good, as was the service, friendly staff throughout the hotel as well. A definite recommend.

Pretty decent lunch with local specialties like lobster sandwich (2nd best when not in lobster season), seafood gratin (Shepherd's pie equivalent with scallops, lobster and fish) and local small shrimps, lobster sandwiches are all good. Too bad they no longer cook fresh lobster or fish from fish market attached. There are better value, better tasted places in other Gaspe's villages and service a bit slow.

Small price, big results. The breafast buffet was perfect. Different kinds of bread, muffins, eggs, sausages, pancakes, fruits, cakes. It was wonderful. Wish we could have had the times to stay for lunch.. I'm sure that I would have been happily surprised. The staff was friendly and efficient.

We were travelling through the Gaspe in mid June - early in the 'travel season' . The weather was cold and windy and most hotel / resort restaurants were closed . A lady at the front desk suggested La Fabrique and it could not have been a better suggestion. A craft-brew pub with exceptional food and ambience. Regular pub-food fare but kicked up a notch.. My partner had the lamb-burger and I opted for the Mussels and frites. FANTASTIC !!In a town more renowned for its higher-end seafood restaurants , La Fabriue needs to be considered and recommended for the experience , beer and food.. A shout out to Jerome - our server. He could not have been more helpful while we conversed in 'franglais' but also in service and friendliness. Highly recommended
