Our first time here and came due to a recommendation from two locals of Lunenburg. We stopped for coffee and ended up with the absolute best chocolate croissant this side of heaven. It was done to perfection with a crusty chewiness and deep dark chocolate. Paired with a freshly brewed coffee and I can safely say... I've never had it quite so good. The service was very good, the quaintness of the shop was incredible and the view of the harbor that was touched with a bit of fog.... made the experience "Absolutely Superb".I strongly recommend you take the short drive to Blue Rocks and experience this little gem.

I discovered Laughing Whale Coffee at the Lunenburg Farmer's Market some years ago. On that same trip, I found that I could purchase their whole beans at the Shop on the Corner. On this trip, I tried an iced latte with soy. I love my latte and this one was good! My favorite coffee is the Ooh La la! but the Shop on the Corner Blend is also great. There are a lot of cute things for the kitchen and gift items as well.Thank you so much for your wonderful review and the positive experience you had with us. We hope you will visit us again.

We are now closed for the season. We look forward to seeing you in May 2020! Thank you for another wonderful season!
We took a trip to Lunenburg and after finishing a tour of the museum, we decided to have dinner at this restaurant overlooking Lunenburg harbour. The service was exceptional. Shyanne was a delight and made frequent trips to our table to check in on us. The food was great, too.We started with mussels in white wine sauce and they were quite tasty. My wife ordered the scallop dinner which were good and garlic mash and vegetables that were delicious. I had the rice noodles with veggies in a Thai sauce topped with salmon. It, too, was very good though I did find the salmon a little dry for my liking. My wife had the apple cake with rum sauce which was delicious and I had the blueberry pudding which was divine.Weâd recommend eating here.

The Beach Pea provides a perfect setting to enjoy a Mediterranean-inspired meal or some summery drinks on a patio. The Beach Pea is nestled above the Lunenburg harbour, providing an incredible view. Its interior is white, light, and airy, and will leave y
Four of us really enjoyed the whole experience we had at this restaurant recently. The cooking is creative, and prepared very well. The scallops were cooked perfectly and they were served with a complimentary vegetable combination. Our server was very efficient and pleasant. We felt there was good value. I would recommend a reservation as it is a popular spot for dinner and there is somewhat limited seating. I can recommend this restaurant highly.

Come savor a delectable meal at Grand Banker Bar & Grill. Come sit at the bar with a drink. They are open nightly all week and are readily reachable by car.
Great location overlooking the water in historic Lunenburg. Started with the mussels in curry which was unique and very good. A few of the mussels had a foul flavor but most were delicious. We also had the seafood quartet. The salmon was perfect, the breading on the haddock was yummy and scallops were local and delicious. The shrimp was also good. The potatoes seemed like instant potatoes but that was our only complaint. The rum bread pudding was excellent. Our bill was close to 70 CAD but we had a beer and dessert.

Outdoor restaurant in the heart of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Serving up the freshest local seafood you can find for lunch, dinner and late night. #eatyourview (OPEN JUNE - MID SEPTEMBER)
We were looking for oysters and finally found oysters! I mean we went to Vancouver just for the oysters and was hoping for variety like there here in NS. This was the ONLY place! And fresh and fabulous oysters! We got the tower, then all of the varieties and some shrimp tacos for good measure. All super tasty and fresh. Probably our best meal in NS. Great service too!!BUT tiny detail - Half Shell, if you are reading this can you train your oyster shucker a bit more? He sometimes massacres your beautiful oysters. The liquor is missing at times, they arenât flipped and some are shredded. Just details as the taste was divine, just think these little guys deserve justice ;)

Referred here by our hotel owner, we were impressed enough to visit twice in 2 days. While menu was limited, dishes were carefully thought out and prepared to a surprisingly sophisticated palate. Small but nice wine list as well. Staff was very considerate and helpful

The Salt Shaker Deli and Inn, is one of Lunenburg's most beloved destinations for local residents and visitors alike. Award winning dishes prepared with fresh local ingredients from the Deli makes staying upstairs in the cozy four room Inn an easy choice.
Open year around, the Salt Shaker deli is one of the best places to eat (brunch, lunch or dinner) in the south shore. With a full menu, great beers on tap and a solid wine selection, everything here is awesome. You can't make a bad choice with any of the pizzas, the pad thai dishes are great. My favorite is the smoked salmon club. Great atmosphere and staff are wonderful.

On entering the pub from the back entrance car park our initial reaction was that it was dark, despite bring mid afternoon. We chose a small booth and the waitress came over promptly with a menu. Once our eyes were aclimatized to the dark, the pub resembled an old fisherman's tavern. Our meal arrived and the fish batter was light and crispy. All very tasty. The staff were friendly. Prices were very reasonable. We both drank Ginger beer which was very nice, so cannot speak about the beer. It seems to be a popular place to ear and drink. To access the car park you have to drive down a side road before you reach the pub (coming from Lunnenberg ) I did not see any signs pointing the way.

The Savvy Sailor Cafe is licensed and has great selection of both traditional and fresh new breakfast and lunch fairs. Views overlooking the UNESCO town harbour.
This small, informal restaurant, with good views of the harbor, has really great lobster rolls and delicious haddock chowder! Itâs wine list is limited to NS wines and the beer is all local too. We were very happy with Saltbox Brewingâs Holy Mackerel and Nine Locksâ Dirty Blonde. Itâs small, so get there early for the best views!
