Things to do in Ladysmith
Other than the fact that this A&W was steaming hot inside (granted it was 32C outside) I have no complaints about the restaurant or its staff. The horrific part was the Beyond Meat "burger". It's a 20 cent bun with an icky pasty patty of what seems to be little more than refried beans for SEVEN DOLLARS. It's inedible, a total ripoff and whoever came up with this brainstorm at A&W headquarters should be forced to walk the plank. YUCK!

Our 'little bit of everything' menu includes mouth-watering steaks, chicken, pastas, vegetarian options, and more! We offer a mix of Canadian and International dishes. Our mainstays include burgers, sandwiches on our homemade bread, nachos, and authentic
Had the mousaka special, very reasonable, tasty, huge portion plus big greek salad and lots of pita bread - too much for me to finish. Only minor criticism would be that there was more cheese on the mousaka than I prefer, but I know some people like it that way.

Hadn't been there in years !, (Bad experience with previous owner ), I was pleasantly surprised, they had done some updating, had a updated menu, and one of the servers was still there !!Wait staff was really friendly, and patient, while we decided on our meal !Large portion, my friend and I shared the chicken quesadillas, served with half fries and half salad, you could have full portion of one or the other if you preferred.

We are situated in the the beautiful town of Ladysmith in a small historic building that has been styled in a more modern industrial look. Serving you fresh roasted coffees, teas and espressos which compliment the multitude of sweet and savoury crepes on
We stopped in for morning crepes and coffee. What we got were fantastic, delectable crepes (one savory, one sweet) and perfect, strong, fresh brewed coffee. It all exceeded expectations. We also like the friendliness of the owner. It's too bad it's not on the main street where it would attract more tourists. It's on the highway and does not have a very noticeable sign. The fact that it's call Ironworks probably doesn't help either. You don't have time to read "Cafe and Creperie" before you've driven by. As well, there is no parking so you have to find a side street for that. But now you know about the place from my review and I definitely recommend you stopping. We'll go back in the summer when we are on the island again.Thank you so much for your lovely review! We understand the difficulty with parking and for future reference if you visit on a weekend you can park in the alley right behind the building :) there are stairs directly to the cafe. Otherwise as you mentioned there is street parking on Gatacre & Roberts along with free parking lots and one right across the street :) hope that makes it easier for your next visit :) The story behind the name is to pay homage to my incredible weldEr hubby who took so much time out of his busy schedule to help open the cafe thanks again and we look forward to seeing you this summer

We found Appetit by accident as we stopped off in Ladysmith for a break. I really recommend this place. Its worth taking a wee detour. There is a huge menu either for breakfast or a large lunch. I had the seafood chowder which was absolutely scrummy. My husband had the chicken curry which I tasted and it was also delicious. It is a small place and the owner prepares the dishes just behind the counter. I don't know how he produces such lovely tasty, fresh food. I note they are closed by 2:30 in the afternoon and not open on weekends. Great service as well.

Zack's is a cozy little lounge in the heart of beautiful Ladysmith on Vancouver Island. It boast amazing Classic cocktails, A variety of Craft Beer Taps including Cider and a Non alcoholic Kombucha. Zack's is known for their in house made burgers home-cut
Zack's though a tiny lounge is a great little bar and is one of the recent openings in Ladysmith that are making the down town core more attractive to residents and visitors.

The pizza is decent. I find it a bit greasy. I can't say it was the best pizza I have had but it wasn't the worst. It seems to busy all the time , so that must say something. I think it is just not my type of pizza

After as long and arduous journey from Ucluelet to Ladysmith, my wife and I decided to stop and have lunch. While visiting the Information centre, as this was our first time in Ladysmith, we were told of the Fox & Hounds. A popular spot with the locals and whoever else is lucky enough to go there. A lovely British based pub/resto, we felt right at home. After getting our table out in the back patio, I then came back to place our order â just like you would in the UK! Fabulous, really. Quite civilised.I also ordered our Guinness which, was perfectly drawn. The menu is not extensive but itâs all good. I ordered the Banger and Mash (my favourite), and my wife ordered the Seafood Salad, as she is gluten intolerant. No one rushed us out. Highly recommend it. We enjoyed it immensely. So will you. Cheers!
