This restaurant serves very good food at a very reasonable price. portions are huge and employees and owners, are very friendly and generous. I had many times the daily dish served at noon, its excellent and you have many choices especially on Thursdays. However due to the dramatic accident of Lac Megantic , and the distruction of most of the downtown, the location of the place has moved, and is now 5400 Rue papineau at Lac megantic.

Patate Chez Loulou

We drove up from our vacation cottage in Rangeley, Maine to eat poutine here. It was excellent. (It's a 1 1/2 hour drive from Rangeley.)It's a small place. It's an old school counter joint with a couple of tables and booths. Clean. Fast. Good value. Brush up on your French before you arrive. We can't wait to go back next summer.

Restaurant Le Renato

Sometime after the train catastrophe, Le Renato relocated from Stearns Ave. to the Hotel Le Chateau on rue Laval. It also split into two restaurants: Le Renato at the front and a classier Signature in the back. We were a family of three eating in the front at Le Renato. There was one server taking care of the entire front section (the entire le Renato restaurant), greeting/seating clients, serving takeout clients and handling all payments. IT DOES NOT WORK! We were often left waiting unacceptably long. We very nearly walked because it took so long to take our order, but we stuck it out and were rewarded with excellent pizza and pasta. Unfortunately the slow, arrogant service is our most indelible memory from this restaurant.

First time here from Boston and the annivesary of the tragedy there where 47 people loss their lives from the horrific train accident.Staff very friendly, bi-lingual and very helpful. They loved that fact I was from Boston. Large bottled beer selection, I counted 27 and 8 drafts. Gotta get the Poutine. Nachos could use a little help, not like in Boston for sure.Nice outside deck. EV chargers in back for electric cars and even a Tesla wall charger.Clean, good service and live music. Short walk to water, nice after a few tall ones.

Mediocre, but acceptable. Four of us had soups, salads, tacos. All were okay but none were memorable. Thus, I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but if I were there and hungry, I might go back.

It was my second experience at the bistro. Everything is so fresh. Love the breakfast menu, pastries, coffees, fresh juices and fruits. Their omelettes are always so tasty. Well located, the bistro offers a cozy family ambiance in a nice decor. Service is perfect. WI-FI is also available which is essential to me.

I usually visit Lac-Magantic once a year to for it's scenic setting and to take note of the rebirth of this special town and it's people.First time to discover Mange Ta Main and it's delicious gourmet lunch options. The quiche was superb with a perfect balance of crust, custard and flavorful ingredients. I enjoy the mini prix fixe lunch menu which is offered everyday. Starter, Main and Dessert all included at a reasonable price. The small dining area doesn't seem small once you seat yourself. The food will be brought to you for dining in. There are also steamed coffee drinks available which are excellent.Overall, a very tasty meal with a comfortable ambiance and bilingual staff.
