Food was decent... service was poor. Server/bartender was talking politics and was taking a hard stance on his opinions which was opposite of ours (which was not the problem)... he was trying to force the 'rightness' of his opinions on others. Poor business to get that heated with politics.
I had never had a Smoothie before but I'm a convert. How can anything so good be healthy? I have only been twice and had the chocolate monkey both times. I have heard that the green smoothie is excellent but I find the 20 ounce size daunting. I really hope that more options become available in the smaller size but I'm not against having the same chocolate smoothie again. I at first was surprised at the price but even with the small size I can count this as a healthy and satisfying lunch. Hi Judy G:) Thanks for taking the time to review us last season... We're in our second season now, and starting to expand a bit and do have more choices in the smaller 12 ounce size... We hope you pop by and check them out soon :)

The Bar Down patio restaurant was quite an enjoyable place to have lunch. It is a lovely patio, under trees and umbrellas. The food and service was good, service was polite, and the environment inviting. The pace is relaxed, which suited us fine.

As first-time visitors to the area, and not many restaurant options, we chose Erie Belle, which seemed to be pumping with action. We ordered take-out as our seniors weren't up to eating out and had stayed behind at our cottage rental. Before ordering, I asked if the haddock and chips would be enough for two to share and was told no, it was only a small meal. There was a 20 minute wait for our order, which wasn't a problem, and they took my cell number so they could call when it was ready. They didn't call, and when I arrived, my order was sitting by the till for who knows how long. $67.80 for four orders, and ha! There was so much food that we had it over two nights and still threw out a massive pile of chips. It was annoying to spend twice as much money as necessary and to end up wasting food. The French fries were greasy and my mom had difficulty cutting her fish, which was well battered and also very greasy. No ketchup was provided for the chips, though we did get tartar sauce.

The food and decor were average. However, you got value for your dollar. Would have preferred a little more â spiceâ in the food offerings since it was quite bland. Still not a bad spot to enjoy a little Chinese.

Lovely patio with views of the marina. Wednesday was wing night and the place was packed. First night Steak was tough and a little over cooked and I expected more considering the price. Wings were great.Second night was a little less crowded and sticking to more bar food was a better idea. The draw is definitely the view and the patio.Service was friendly and efficient.

My husband and I went here for breakfast and had a fabulous meal. Our waitress was fabulous and accommodating. The atmosphere here is very friendly and pleasant. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are very good. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area or living in the area. We will also be going back here soon.

We were lucky to get a table on a Thursday evening without a reservation! The wait staff was pleasant. Our meals were good: the pub curry was excellent but might be too spicy for some; my partnerâs shepherds pie also had a spiciness that, although unexpected, was very good.Try to reserve the patio seating for the best view!

Established in 2018 Bistecca was open to provide unparalleled service in all aspect of its offering.
This restaurant was excellent from start to finish. The decor is very inviting and the staff very welcoming. Gabrielle our server was wonderful in tending to all out needs. She was very polite and knowledgeable. The meal itself was flavourful and unique. The escargot was original and strayed away from the conventional...cheese and garlic. This was prepared in a demiglace and had a slight sweet taste and the dish had at least 12 escargot. The Caprese salad was spot on. We had the spaghetti Bolognese and the risotto fruiti de mare. Bother were excellent. The wine with dinner only complimented the sophisticated dishes. Cannolis wrapped up our dinner experience. What a beautiful night and I would highly recommend stopping by for dinner. We did make reservations.

Early Wed. evening. Great, wonderful, terrific ! The bar was full but there were seats in this very small restaurant.I find it curious that both the bar and food menus are on chalk boards so people are moving around to view them. Our waitress,Rena, was friendly and helpful. She emphasized that the âpintsâ are really pints ie. 20 oz. I asked for a recommendation based on the beer flavour I prefer and was served a product from Grey Matter, the local craft brewery. Check Mate tasted fine althoâ it was bit on the thin side!I would come here just for the soup. There were 4 choices including my favourite Thai Chicken- delectably creamy, chock full of chicken and rice with a light curry flavour- SO good. The lion head bowls are deceptively big! Hubby enjoyed the Coconut Curried Squash soup with a drizzle of maple syrup.Prices are reasonable- around $15 for a large plate including soup or salad. In fact, we couldnât eat it all!! The sandwiches are stuffed!! One was beef brisket on a Portuguese roll, the other Chicken Parmesan on toasted garlic ciabatta. The chicken breast was thick and juicy and covered in a melted cheese blend. We stop here every time we have occasion to be in Kincardine and highly recommend it!
