A cozy and warm atmosphere, great for groups and families. Daily specials and a new menu with gluten free and vegetarian options. Something for everyone!
We had some issues. The Texas Point Quesadilla was pretty good. I understand the beef dip sandwich was also good. My order of fish and chips was terrible. The fish was over cooked and the fries were homemade from stale potatoes. They were mushy and very dark. The pitcher of blended margarita which we didnât order, was awful. The replacement was better but the resolution of our conflict was handled poorly. The restaurant was busy but the service was very slow. I suspect the busy restaurant was do to availability of restaurants not the quality of the food and service.
Welcome to Christina Lake Marina & Grill, Christina Lake's only waterfront patio and restaurant. Access by boat or vehicle, sit on the patio or to go available.
Great selection of finiely prepared meals with a killer giftshop of local and BC artists next door. Newly built with great architecture at the foot of Christina Lake. Definitely worth a visit.
I can only rate the drinks as I had a Mocha Latte on day 1 and kept coming back to grab another. A quality coffee indeed. The customer service was excellent and the restaurant offers seating both indoors and out.
The food was really good but pretty pricy at $7.50 a taco. We were offered kids tacos which were smaller and plain beef and cheese but were still charged full price for them. That didnât sit well with me- a taco truck lunch for two small kids and two adults shouldnât be pushing $50 (the debit machine prompted us for a 15-25% tip which felt kinda gross for a place where you serve yourself). The picnic table also flipped over on us while we were eating and everything went flying, kids were stuck underneath. Nobody working there l even asked if we were alright or offered to make us new tacos to replace the ones now in the dirt. When I drove by today it was sitting tipped over again. Food was good but I wouldnât rush back.

We looked forward to eating at this tapas style restaurant during the week we stayed at Christina Lake. We cooked our meals at our rented cottage but decided to treat ourselves for a birthday. We had scouted it prior and the reviews sounded great. We arrived at about 4:30ish. and were the only ones there and decided to eat outside on the patio. There were 6 or 7 items on the tapas menu plus salads, flat-breads and other main courses.. Our very pleasant server came over and advised that 3 of the tapas were not available as the deliver truck did not arrive. Although disappointed as 2 of them would have been dished we would have ordered we still thought there was enough on the menu that sounded good. We ordered 2 of their specialty sangrias and looked over the menu. The server brought our drinks and told us that unfortunately a piece of equipment had broken and that they would comp our drinks and could still serve some of the tapas if we wanted at half price but they could not serve anything else. We were disappointed but as there was not too much else in the area to choose at that time we decided to stay. We ordered the cheese ravioli in marinara sauce and the goat cheese/bacon truffles rolled in pistachios with warm pita bread. The sangrias were not what we expected and did not taste that good ( but they were comp'd so it was okay) The tapas were really good and we would have looked forward to other dishes if they had them available. They gave you 5 cheese/bacon truffles which was a lot and we ended up taking 2 home because they were so rich. The chef/manager was very nice and apologized profusely for the problems. Unexpected things happen of course. They closed the restaurant down while we were there for the night and he mentioned they would be reopening in a few days. Sadly we were leaving before that but it might have been worth another try. They were quite pre-occupied with closing the kitchen understandable so we had to come inside to pay the bill. I guess they forgot about the 1/2 price offer on the food we ordered because we were charged full price. That was okay because the food was good. Glad they remembered to comp the sangrias though as they were not that great...I guess things are winding down in Christina Lake at the end of the season as many places were either already close the last week of August or were limited in what they had to offer....good to know. Hey folks! I appreciate the kind words in your review and understanding the situation. Just a few things I wanted to note:I immediately remembered half price food after you two had left. I felt terrible about that so my apologies. We actually do ask all our customers to come inside to pay. Our till is a model from the early 80's and our debit machine does not travel that far. Please be sure to remind us of your previous experience next time you are through. We will accomadate half price on any dinner item.Babalooz prides itself on creating an enjoyable memorable ambience and we failed you in that sense. Next time in Christina lake, come on by and we will get that review up to a 5 :)-Sean

Obviously popular with regulars. Small (there is an outside area though) but menu has plenty of choice. Ate dinner and breakfast here whilst staying at the Lakeview Motel over the road. Very friendly staff and also plenty of local info. Would definitely recommend.
