We enjoyed our Sunday morning breakfast very much. Stuck with the classic, great home fries, eggs done the way we like them, bacon and sausage fresh and tasty. Decaf coffee was freshly made. We didnât have to wait for a table but by the time we left (9 am or so) it was pretty full and a few minutes wait for newcomers. An easy walk from where we stayed on a beautiful summer morning. Great way to start the day.

We arrived late with friends and could only find seats at the bar for the four of us. Bartender was highly schooled in hospitality and before no time the four of us were really enjoying the atmosphere. We had the pasta of the day with shrimp which was well prepared with the shrimp being done to perfection. Well worth stopping by as you will not be disappointed by quality and service.Dear BillT910Your lovely review is greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Hope you visit us again soon.SincerelyNorah Rogers

Set in a state-of-the-art wine cellar with a conservatory bar, The Restaurant at Merrill House offers fine, French cuisine with a Burgundian focus. Upon returning from a culinary tour in France, Head Chef Michael Sullivan has revitalized his menus with Pr
Have not eaten here since the changeover of owners. With the addition of the solarium it seems so much more open. Food is expensive but very good. It was nice to go somewhere where bread and vegetables are not extra,s. Our server was excellent. Will return. You will not be disappointed. You should make a reservation as it is not a large restaurant .Thank you for returning under our new ownership ! We so appreciate your positive review! We are delighted that you appreciate the intimacy of our dining room and your complements on the openness of the new design and covered solarium. The extensive renovations and upgrade to the property throughout are delighting so many guests and we value the time you have taken to post your comments. The Conservatory bar is now open with a fabulous bar menu and we hope that you will come to enjoy the incensed outside patio areas now that summer is in full swing.
This is awesome bakery and very reasonable!Living in Picton it's just a short drive so when my sweet tooth needs a fix this is my choice!I've been twice now and no regrets.Great value and dinner guests appreciate deserts after fine meal.

Had a nice lunch here. Looked at the menu a few days before and deliberately came back.I had beef carpaccio; a bit salty but eminently eatable. My wife had the charcuterie board. She pronounced it very good. It comes in two sizes - $12/$24. There were a couple of items that were a bit hot for her taste so I got to steal some. We would have preferred softer bread rather than the hard, twice baked pieces. While all the meats and the chutney were good the highlight was the country paté.There were several families there. Four couples travelling together had 12 children in total. We counted nine others from toddlers to teens. We will return anytime we are in the area.

My colleague took me here just before a conference in the area. We arrived at lunch on a Tuesday and it was already busy. Lots of local folks grabbing a bite. My buddy had been before and is a foodie - he said I had to try the pizza. Though it was quite a wait (probably at least 30 mins) the pizza was amazing. I'm not a real pizza lover but this pie was addictive. Highly satisfying! There's not much to say about the decor - the place is a converted home and is really just a counter, a kitchen and the small dining room. However if you're in the area it is worth a stop. Order the pizza!

We heard a lot of great reviews about this place and wanted to go, it was on air Canadaâs top restaurant list for Canada so we thought it was going to be very good. Very overrated, overpriced. The cooks are all wearing hats in the kitchen. A little disappointed. The highlight of our night was walking about 10 minutes over and having ice cream at slickers.Hi Laurianne, We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy yourself and that we did not meet your expectations. Could you provide more details about what we could have improved? If it isn't too much to ask, please email at [email protected] As for the hats in the kitchen, that is part of the uniform. Like in many kitchens, chefs wear caps. We decided that our cooks could wear hats of local businesses that we support. All the caps are from local breweries, farms, shops, or artists that we work with. There are no major league sports teams or big brands on those caps, just locals.

What a little hidden gem in Bloomfield! Located beside the United Church, this little restaurant has excellent food, great service and is quite reasonable. The soups, in particular were very good....but they were surpassed by the incredible desserts. Leave room!

We are a neighbourhood spot, working hard to bring you seasonal market cuisine from our local farmers and bringing good people together to experience the best of our hometown.
Disappointing. We love brew pubs. This isn't one unfortunately. There were 5 craft beers on tap. The one we wanted was sold out. The one we sampled was not good. We ordered a charcuterie board. I am confused by pickled vegetables that have both the root and the stalk still on them as a pickle. Why can't you cut them off, I had to. Oh. and the carrot still had dirt on it. The smoked meats were good but why is there no cheese?

Our diverse selection of rustic style dishes takes advantage of the wonderful produce this area has to offer. Chef Paul Tobias shares his modern spin on classic comfort food and the result is delicious! From the farm, dairy, bakery and winery right to you
I enjoyed a great lunch here with my family. We sat on their patio draped in vines and it was beautiful. To eat I had the shrimp sandwich and it was delicious! I read about this spot before our trip and saw that it turned into a speakeasy at night. Next time we are in Picton I'd love to check it out!
