Find out what Cajun & Creole restaurants to try in Shreveport. The Red River is the heart and soul of Shreveport, a cultural and gaming center on the Louisiana/Texas border. Riverboat casinos evoke the glamour and mystery of the past while providing modern travelers with thrills and excitement. If the tables aren't your style, take a trip over the neon-lit Texas Street Bridge to the horse-racing at Louisiana Downs in Bossier City, Shreveport's thriving sister city. Visitors can unwind in one of Shreveport's botanical oases and enjoy the area's fine waterfront dining, shopping and entertainment. Shreveport sizzles in the summertime but has a temperate climate for the rest of the year.

Our family was on a road trip and went through Shreveport, so decided to stop at Crawdaddy’s. Everything was delicious. We started with the boudin balls, we then shared a shrimp and grits, and craw dad etoufee. The owner came and visited with us too. We will definitely come back if we are in the area again. The best part about road trips is stopping by for some delicious bites on the way! I'm glad that you and your family had the opportunity to dine with us while you guys were in Shreveport. Thank you for taking the time to review us. We're looking forward to welcoming you back in the future! All the best,Louis, Owner

This place is really amazing. The historical decor number one. The staff is friendly and fast. Our server Brook kept coming back and making sure we were pleased and with a great smile on her face. My husband got a cup of etouffee to start. I was SO delicious and meaty and thick. I have the spice beef and pork meat pies. Oh so good. Especially with the zesty mustard sauce. We split a plate because in not a big eater. We had the shrimp and catfish plate with dirty rice. The portions were huge. What I mostly liked was how the this large shrimp was tender, tasty and with just a right amount of breading. The catfish was also impressively delicious. We washed it down with 2 ice cold Coronas. It made our evening. We were so stuffed. This will be our routine place to go when going to Shreveport.

Don’t let this “themed” restaurant fool you with its servers dressed as cheerleaders and sports bar theme. They are serious about food! My daughter had the grilled chicken and avocado sandwich and I had the fried catfish. It was some of the best catfish I have had and this southern girl has had a lot. My daughter claimed hers may have been the best chicken sandwich she has ever had. She was also fond of the “crispy” waffle fries.

Went for early Sunday meal. Was surprised about the “new to us” Sunday Brunch buffet which runs from 10-3pm. Hubby had the buffet while I ordered from the menu. While hubby didn’t get a made-to-order omelet, he enjoyed the prime rib. He said all items were fresh & tasted great. Mimosas are available. I had a dozen charbroiled oysters which were delicious. As an entree, I got the crawfish ravioli also delicious. Hubby snuck me some pecan bread pudding from the buffet since I just wanted a tad to taste. While it was moist, I couldn’t find pecans, raisins, or anything else you find in bread pudding. They might need to work on that as well as a whiskey sauce, because if you’re going to do bread pudding, you might as well do it right. Sit in Curtis’s section, he will take excellent care of you. Hope you enjoyed the tip, Curtis. Thanks for taking care of us.
