We came here when it was very quiet and felt very welcome. The honesty system of taking your own drinks and keeping your own tab is quite different and there are a range of local Rums to try.Food was excellent, location was comfortable, people were lovely, what more could you want.Oh, itâs slightly tricky to find, set back from the coastal road, but youâll be ok.

We visited this restaurant while on vacation in Mauritius. As we have a restaurant with the same name in Belgium we read the reviews and found that it was worth to make a trip from the east-coast to Floreal to this wonderful restaurant. This restaurant is located in a more upscale region and when you enter the premisses you feel the grandeur of this place. We were greeted by a friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere was of pure class and with a touch of explicite elegance. We went for a glass of champagne and some very, very delicious dishes.... served with style and with a top notch service. The lady of the house 'Madame Dalais' came to great the customers and we were greated and treated as celebreties. Thank you to the whole team to make our evening so special and worthwhile to make the trip from Poste Lafayette to Floreal. Peter & Kristel from Belgium

The visit at Marieâs beautiful garden restaurant was a joy. Marie and her mom have created a beautiful garden and are extremely warm heartet welcoming people. It was a wonderful experience to talk to Marie and her lovely mother and it was obvious to feel their excitement and spirit for what they do and make their guest happy. The food they offered was absolutely delicious and Marie even provided a vegeterian version of the sausage which allowed me to still enjoy creole dish.We would not want to miss this stop and recommend this to anyone who enjoys a peaceful, beautiful tropical garden with super nice hosts and is eager to explore the original Mauritius creole food.Greetings from Escale Créole and sunny Mauritius!Sorry for my late reply...I would like to thank you for your wonderful comment about our family restaurant. With my mum and my team we try our best every single day to make you experience our "grand-mother's recipes" creole food, in a cosy and local atmosphere since 24 years now.... and we are happy that you enjoyed the food and our company! Thanks again for the time you spent for writing to us⦠it give us the energy to continue and maintain the good work!Marie-Christine and my team
