Since our 1967 opening as a sister restaurant to the world-famous Commander's Palace in New Orleans, Brennan's of Houston has evolved into the city's premier destination for memorable dining served with true Southern hospitality. From the reservationist t
We went for a business dinner with a larger party. This is a very nice, upscale place. I like the interior and atmosphere. Service was excellent, great tasting food, primarily New Orleans style. I followed our waiter recommendation and did not regret. While snapping turtle soup was (just? good :-) ), the oak grilled fish (red fish) was delicious. All that was topped by the desert- bread pudding. I would highly recommend.Hello Romanw871, Thank you for dining with us and taking the time to leave a review. Yes, the turtle soup isn't for everyone but we are glad you tried it. Next time, if it's not to your liking, please let our captain know and we'll be happy to bring you out an alternate soup. Thanks again for leaving a review and recommending us. Have a great day!

Was in town for a conference. Was a brisk 15 minute walk from hotel. Owner/manager was nice and personable. Cook came out and asked about our meal. Ate here for dinner. Food was excellent. 3 combo shrimp and oysters platters and one shrimp plate. Jambalaya was delicious. Food was fresh and tasted great! $16 per plate. Doesn't look like much from outside but clean and nice inside. Safe environment.

This original Goode Company Seafood is an experience like few others. From the chrome bar stools to the original Wurlitzer, this railcar dining experience is truly a one of a kind.
This is still one of our favorite go-to restaurants. They have some of the best seafood in town. Even the people sitting next to us at the bar, who live in Clear Lake, come into Houston to eat at the Goode Company. (They used to live in Katy and would drive in, too.) We told them we had been in the Clear Lake area just two weeks ago, and the food there cannot beat this place. On the first day, Saturday, we split the campechana, our favorite dish. Because we left our umbrella there by mistake, we stopped by on Sunday, and decided to eat here again. We had a half dozen raw oysters (delicious) and then we had the crab claws, a new dish for us recommended by the folks sitting next to us, which she said she always gets. It was great! On the way out, a woman at the bar was eating what appeared to be a lovely fish dish with a corn salsa on top. I asked her what it was and she said the salmon dish that is on the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu. She said it was delicious.Always fun to sit at this bar, talk to many of the long-time servers/bartenders and meet new people sitting at the bar. Great ambiance.Marcel, you have looked into a little bit of the joy of why we do this. We love to hear of new traditions being formed by our guests as they come back and become our regulars. Come back and share some of your stories with us!

We went on a Sunday for lunch and there was no wait, so surprised. Our waiter (Jason) was very attentive and the food was delicious, as always at Pappadeaux!
