In a town where it seems all the tourists are seeking out pizza, Restaurant le Mouillage offers a typical Antilles Francaise cuisine in a relaxed setting, with a dining room that extends right over the shoreline. This meant we found ourselves alone in a completely empty dining hall, except for the wait staff. I find it surprising that not more people are seeking out a taste of the local cuisine, which for us included grilled red snapper served with a gratin of chayote, and a colombo de cabri, a yellow curry of baby goat, served with rice. Everything is so simple and so delicious, we can't understand why not more people are here. They don't know what they are missing. Thankfully, service was good, but reserved, as I felt we could have been overwhelmed by wait staff, eager to please, in this empty restaurant. If you are looking for delicious local fare, this is the place - make sure to pick a table at the back to enjoy the sound of the ocean while you eat.

The service was exceptionally friendly and explained the various options. Smaller portions (without the multiple courses that other beach restaurants offer) make this a budget friendly option at around six euro per plate. Lovely colourful table settings a d a great view!

Called here for a drink as itâs Catherineâs Bar in the BBC series Death in Paradise.It does reasonable food and sells a couple of locally brewed beers.Inside has pictures from the series and the staff are welcoming though speak French with some English.Part of our visit to many of the places you see in the tv series.

We wanted a very late lunch here and although the chef had gone home they went out of their way to accommodate us. In the end, out of the things they told us they could provide, We enjoyed the food and the price was reasonable.Merci que du plaisir A vous faire découvrir de délicieux repas avec des produits frais venant d ici et de Marseille Bonne et agréable fin d année à vous Et peut à l année prochaine
