We often call in prior to shopping, for a coffee and a teacake. Whilst the coffee is average, the teacakes are absolutely superb. It is a pity you can't buy the same ones in the store. The sandwiches and snacks are a bit on the pricey side but you can get a decent hot lunch for a reasonable amount. The downside is the service, which can often be painfully slow and the speed of clearing tables and cleaning up, often leaves much to be desired. They try to operate a scheme where you are expected to clear your own table but this doesn't work very well. You could reasonably argue that for the price you are paying, you shouldn't be expected or have to clear your own stuff up. You are paying enough for the staff to do that.

We went in thinking it was just a normal cafe. It was a nice surprise, the food was very good. Large portions and at a very reasonable price.

I visited the Elm Tree Farm Team Rooms with my 11 year old daughter - she had visited before with her aunt and was desperate to go back for a âdeliciousâ brekkie. The whole experience did not disappoint. From the moment we walked through the door - we were greeted by the most friendly smiles and welcome. The staff are absolutely lovely. We ordered a full English and poached egg on toast. Gorgeous , value for money , excellent service, friendly atmosphere, clean and tidy and felt valued as a customer. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I called in to Maggies Tea room to save us from cooking our lunch before we embarked on a long journey for our holiday break. We were greeted into a friendly and clean atmosphere where we had our lunch which we chose from a varied and modestly price menu sheet. There was plenty to offer and they had a great sweet menu which we resisted. I have visited this Tea Room on at least 3 times in the past and have always enjoyed their culinary offers.

Visited for lunch with family, had booked table , which was in lovely room upstairs. We ordered food ...some from the 3 for£13 and others from the main menu. All was freshly cooked and flavours were lovely. Especially enjoyed the toffee waffle crunch . Staff very helpful and friendly.Nice selection of cakes to take away Would definitely recommend.

This is one of our local spots and we visited yesterday. Lovely tea which is loose tea leaves. Gorgeous cakes, scones etc. Inside of the tables are games for the children too which our daughter loved! Also is a florist and sells local items which are lovely. Beautiful room and very friendly warm staff. Will be coming again!
