Passing through Walsenburg on our way home, we decided to get something to eat. We'd passed by Tina's several times on other trips. Decided to have a late lunch there.Tina's is an unassuming café. The inside had a number of chrome tables and chairs with a lunch counter off to one side. The walls are filled with small plaques with cute sayings. The TV is tuned to old time rock and roll videos. Cute place.The service was really nice. The servers were quite engaging and attentive. All we could ask for.The menu is regular ol' café food - breakfast fare (all day), burgers, some dinner dishes (even liver and onions - yuk!) and a specials board. On the board was a giant Philly Burger. Sounded interesting so my wife and I got one to share. We got fries with that (darn, I missed that we could have gotten onion rings). They split the burger and fries on two plates in the kitchen. Nice touch. The burger was big and tasty. The beef and 'Philly' part of the burger kinda got lost. But it was good. The fries were also good. Nice and crispy like we like them.Is worth a second visit.

Traveling through the area a store clerk suggested this location. Stopping by we went in and the one lady serving told us to have a seat while she finished her prior duties. Our orders were subsequently taken and then delivered to us. All were quite flavorful. Note the sign on the register if paying by credit card: Cash only for tips. Receipts, if desired, or sent to mobile phone.

Old school eatery with the main subject of conversation being the football gambling pool. Folks came in to check the gambling pool for winners and pot size. Food was ok but doubt we will ever stop again.
