After entering the school of Vestby Videregående, you will find the café located in the left corner. At the entrance you are welcomed by smiling students and teachers, as it is a school café where the servants are students. The meals are often very cheap, especially compared to Norwegian prices. The menu changes every day, and today I had a great focaccia with chicken and curry. What a meal. So tasteful, so delicious, and for only the equivalent of 3 US dollars. After that I had to try the chocolate cake, that was right below 2 US dollard. One of the best cakes I've had. The taste was great, it was easy to eat, not too chewy as many chocolate cakes are. Also, it filled up my tummy without making me feel heavy or nauseaus, as I usually am after having chocolate cake.At the start of the school year you might want to expect a burnt coffee or some uncooked burgers, stuff that happens when 15 / 16 year old students face the kitchen for the first time. But after some time, the café serves so much good food. Especially now, heading towards summer, the first grade students manage to make pretty decent food and the second year students are professionals.

This is something between a café and an art gallery, where the walls are decorated with art for sale. The location and atmosphere is amazing, but the prices are well over the top. The food selection is not that big, and honestly the dishes are not worth the money. But for at coffee-date or break during the day, it is a great place - just not a place to go every day.

This former train station can still give you shelter when you are waiting for the train. It is now a cozy cafe with nice and mid-priced food and drinks, and you will also be able to have a look at the different exhibitions of works from local amateur artists.

We were in Drobak with my sister-in-law and her family. We stopped here for a snack. The sandwiches were okay. The cafe latte was very good. The Verdens Best (World's best) cake was very good. They have a nice outdoor seating area. Recommend you stop by when in Drobak.

Det Gamle Bageri (The Old Bakery) is located in a building which used to be a bakery and a brewery during the 18th century. The baker's oven still dominates this small, intimate prmises. This popular venue is located on the market square in Drøbak.
The hot cheese sandwiches were really good, and the location in the middle of Drobak is superb where one can choose to sit inside or outside. But I was not impressed by the service which was very slow, - had to wait Close to 30 minutes for the hot cheese sandwiches, - and I observed that 3 local women who ordered cheese sandwiches after us, received their orders before us. It looks like this is a very popular Place for the locals. We overheard that the Place does not have icecubes which is very unusual.
