The shrimp sandwich is highly recommended. Service is somewhat strange, but calm down, enjoy the view and the environment. Come by car or bicycle via the path from Västerås. Please do not park on the spaces provided for disabled.

Right next to Västerås church is this little cosy cafe with lots of history behind it. Very nicely decorated, with good quality of food and drinks.

Simple and fantastic shrimp sandwiches. The location is gorgeous near the beautiful Lake Mälaren. Shop selling local fish and seafood on the same property.

Classic swedish cakes, pies, tarts, buns, sourdough breads.. created to perfection. Simply delicious. And the café is clean, well managed, the decor is light and airy. A nice place to sit with your friends. Although it's not in a central Västerås location, it's well worth a visit - if you have visited the best of the cafés in the the town centre, Fereshteh's will be a pleasant surprise.Fereshteh's have taken over the premises from the previous café that was located here, but this is something completely different, so if you were here a year ago, you will find that the quality is now on a different level.I and my wife have visited this café a number of times and we have also ordered a cake for a party - we had some ideas of the flavours we would like in the cake, and Fereshteh designed the cake specially for us. It was delicious!It's nice inside, and if the weather is good you can sit outside also.Currently (September 2013) it's open all days of the week except Mondays.

We chose a couple of 'build your own' salads and the selection was great (you get a base of lettuce etc and add three or four other ingredients, dressings and seeds).Drinks are reasonably priced and glasses of tap water cost nothing. We sat outside on a summer evening and enjoyed our meal while 'people watching'.Staff were very good at clearing away and keeping the area clean and tidy.

Went for breakfast/brunch with some friends. This place falls under the quirky category. Great setting and the decor is eclectic. What makes it unique though is that pretty much anything you see can be purchased. Food was very good and service was friendly and efficient. If you're looking for something different then this isn't a bad place to go. Fun and slightly crazy.
